Is this possible? D2 question

Hey guys, great site.

I just stumbled across this and thought it was pretty neat.

My question is: Has anyone had success playing two diablo 2 accounts at once on the same computer? I have searched for it and found nothing really that says it is feasible.

I think it isnt possible on 1 pc

diablo movements, spellcasts, etc. are controlled with mouse and you need to share your mouse between your characters. On one PC it isnt possible.

Either you can bot it, which isn't any fun, or you can run 2 computers with 1 wireless mouse (connected to both).
Keep in mind that with the single mouse you'll go out of sync relatively fast unless you do it on a LAN.

Theres a hack that lets you run multiple instances of D2. You can run up to 4 characters from one account. Aside from rushing/leveling characters, making transfers easier, and leaving an enchantress around, it isn't much good though.

Thanks for all the responses. Pretty much what I had thought just by reading, but you guys really cleared it up for me.

I have already got two accounts running on the same box, but alt-tabbing takes forever and gets annoying.
