View Full Version : ERROR 203, Can't Create Last Trial Account

Hello,

I am setting up a new multi-box setup and am trying to register 4 new accounts for 5-boxing. I have registered all of the accounts except the last one, which is giving me ERROR 203.

I have tried:

1) clearing all cookies, history, etc, using a powerful utility called CCleaner.

2) changing my IP address.

3) calling Blizzard account support, where I waited on the phone for 40 minutes before someone said they could'nt help me. He said I should call the technical department directly at a long distance number (NOT free 1-800).

I have Google searched "Blizzard ERROR 203" and tons of people have had this problem when trying to make multiple accounts.

If anyone can help me that would be really great, I am one trial account away from 5 Shamans. :)

had the same issue.. all i did was go out and buy a version finally... cause customer support was being "non supportive"

Hey Krinkle. I had the same problem when I made my 5th account. I used my Visa card for the first 3 extra accounts but
had this same problem when i made my 4th extra account (5 in total).

They where all under my name too. Believe me, I spent days with blizzard billing support and didn't have any success. They are completelly useless.
What I did to fix the problem was to just buy a retail copy of the game and use the code. It woked first go and had zero problems with it.

It must be a security measure but I'm not sure.

I had this problem creating my trial accounts too. Called the Blizzard toll free phone number and spent 20 minutes on the phone making the guy setup 3 new trial accounts over the phone.

Very friendly folks for me. I explained that I wanted to use the "refer a friend" codes as well and he was happy to do it. He was a multi-boxer as well so he understood what I wanted to do.

yep, I had the same issue. Was told it was an online security issue and I should go purchase the last copy from a retailer by the support person. Working perfectly ever since.

it has to do with too many accounts from the same internet IP, I had the same issue, so I called Blizz and they setup the account and explained that was the issue.

I don't think this is going to work for me because my other 4 accounts are all getting 3x experience from the new "referafriend" program. SO if I just go buy a retail key then the last account will not get 3x XP and will fall too far behind. :(

My refer-a-friend trial account I created yesterday didn't even ask for a CC. Are you not using refer-a-friend? (and if you aren't, can I ask why not? I'd love to send you a refer-a-friend key for the Zhevra. Hehehe.)

Furthermore, Suvega and I ran into this issue sometime last year when we tried signing up for multiple trials from the same IP. We were creating about 8 accounts. Simply creating the trial account using my work computer (for a different IP address) fixed the issue. Can you try signing up from a friend's computer, or work, or the library?

I'm getting the same problem, can't create my last 2 accounts. I sent them en email because there is a 30 minute wait on the phones right now. Hopefully they can help me soon I'm getting anxious :wacko:

It told me there was a 30 minute wait when i called as well. just call the blizzard toll free number - if you go through the phone troubleshooting you go straight to the top of the queue and you get a person in just a couple minutes.

you can do the refer-a-friend over the phone as long as you have the code to give them over the phone.

I had this conversation before. I suggest to dc your modem for at least 3 mins. This releases the ip address thats assigned to your pc and you should be able to create the last one. Its a feature to prevent spamming the creation of trial accounts. They trace ip address and check to see who are creating accounts in a short amount of time. They will only tell you to skip the trial accounts and get the real thing."Were not sure why it does that" they will ask you if you plan on getting the full game and then i forgot what they said.


This is just suggestion and is not proven to work. The idea is to get a new ip address from your ISP's server.

3-5 minutes, dependant on how good the Radius serv' your ISP uses ;)

Tried disconnecting the modem for 5 minutes, unplugged it. Didn't seem to do anything.

It's a cable modem should I unplug the actual cable wire?
