Looks like hunter pets get a much needed boost in exp

Based on beta skills for hunters, I have hopes that 5 hunter pets may be able to tank some heroic content. they may have to wait until 72-74 but it should happen

with the 51 skill and the right pet mixes it may even happen with 4 hunters and a healer.

Wait, what? Your subject mentions a boost in experience but the rest talks about skills regarding heroics.

We get a new tank in WOTLK wich is great since the lack of tanks is huge! Pets with 20k armor and 16-17k health wont be to popular in the arena thought. :)

My team is 4xhunters and a shaman and so far I'm very pleased with it. I just made 60 tonight and did a few Outland quests to get some gear and then went into Ramparts for the first boss. I wiped a couple of times due to some bad pulls (it's been a while since I've been in there). I thought I it would be fruitless to try with the crap gear I have but I killed the first boss with all pets above 70% health and not a hunter got scratched. Totems really help and so does having all the Hunters spec'd BM. I didn't go any further because I wanted to log for the night but I'll be back in there tomorrow and hopefully clear the place. I'm hoping that speccing the pets with as much fire resistance as possible will help with the last boss. Oh and btw, my pets are two owls with screech and two cats.

I'm hoping the with all the pet changes in WotLK, I'll be able to do most if not all 5 man content.

I think that shammy is one of the best adds to a 4 hunter team. din is also good. priest not bad if disc holy for great aoe heals and spirt buffs for pets
