Ok I've read through the threads and it seems like the way to go is buy 3 more accounts and boost with a main. Still waiting on confirmation on this.
your accounts should look like
Main account(booster)- AcctM
Second account(invitee) - Acct2
New account one(linked to second) NA1
New account two(linked to second) NA2
New account three(linked to second) NA3
If you create a new alt on Acct2, NA1, NA2, NA3 group them for the first 10 levels that should get them to 10 in about 30 mins. Then you boost with the AcctM. They are all linked, grouped and get 3x the exp. From a boosting perspective this has to be the fastest way to level. You may need to give a level or 2 to the new alt on Acct2 so he can keep up.
At 60 this gives you 90 free levels to distribute to alts on Acct2, although I'd probably just level the first 10-15 levels cause the first few levels would be a waste for the free levels.
bang 4 60s in probably less than 36 hours, You could probably have 9 59s on acct2 in a month leveling other teams.

I'm considering buying a 6th account and dropping one of the 5 in order to just get 3 times the experience for the whole group.

You wouldn't need to give a level to the alt on acct2, as you only get 3x exp if you're equal or lower level than the linked account.

Experience would be mitigated by the presence of a higher level character; however, the mitigated experience would be tripled due to the link. Remember, if one of the linked characters is lower than the other, only the lower level one will receive the XP boost.

Also, I read that you can only gift up to level 60?
So if the NA1 hits 40, you have Acct2 has 20 Gifts to grant, and give it to NA1 ? Or can you save that and Gift it to Acc2-Alt2 ?

You cant boost and still get the triple xp. If anyone in the group kills gray mobs, the extra boost does not apply. You have to run with the booster out of group, which means no instances.
I'm just gonna dual box a couple sets of toons on a 6th account, and xfer any toons i create off of the account after 90 days. I guess I could 5box and just leave one of my main accounts out for the time being. But with 2 of my toons getting xp at a much higher rate, they would quickly out level any other toons, so it would only really work for a few levels, unless I have tons of alts spread throughout the level range. I'm just gonna dual box as many toons as I can in the 90 days, and spread the toons out to my existing accounts. Then my main account gets "free" levels to spread around, so that'll be fun. I'm going to have a LOT of alts above lvl 30 pretty soon...

A CM has said that boosting WILL work, provided the booster is not one of the two linked accounts.

Interesting. That means I'd have to boost with my lvl 60 paladin. I guess he'd do OK in VC/SFK, and possibly up through SM Cath, with much smaller pulls. I will try it tonight.

Sucks, none of my recruit a friend accounts I paid for just a few days ago are getting the bonus. Looks like I'm dropping one for a new one.
I've got a set of warlocks at around RFC's level, so I'll start the boosting at level 8 with that group.

I'm going to guess right now that triple quest experience will be nerfed.
This is insane.

The triple XP does not apply to the group, it only applies to the 2 linked accounts.

So I'm definitely going to just start from scratch again with 4 new accounts.
However, I can't decide whether to round robin link them or link them all to one character. Anyone verify either of these methods yet? Any effect on who gets the bonuses? I'm waiting on an answer from CS, and will report back :)

The account that recruits the friend and the account that was recruited get the bonus, the bonus does not stack (ie you can only get a maximum of (x3) Xp, no extra for being rested. The bonus does not apply to the entire group only accounts that have recruited and have been recruited.
So If I Own account A and B atm, I Recruit account C using Account A and Account D using Account B then I can effectively get (x3) Xp on all 4 accounts assuming they are all partied together.
That is how it works. 8|

With triple exp. It might even be better to just quest/grind without boosting ? I mean you will out level any area with 3x mob exp and 3x quest exp.. so ZERO collection quests needed! Just go into an area and pick only kill quests ( just get easy quests ) And with an kind of AE team you would get crazy exp on mobs? right ?

The triple XP does not apply to the group, it only applies to the 2 linked accounts.Figured that out after I reached level 15 in less than an hour after inviting a lowbie from my 5th and unlinked account to the group. :(
I guess the only decent way for current boxers who already upgraded to full accounts prepatch is to pay for two to three more accounts and drop the same in existing accounts. Not worth it for myself, I'll just continue on with my existing accounts. Though, maybe I will buy 2-3 more accounts when WoTLK comes out and level 4-5 Deathknights with 3xexp and just transfer them over to the old accounts at 60.

Just go into an area and pick only kill quests ( just get easy quests ) And with an kind of AE team you would get crazy exp on mobs? right ?Definitely refrain from boosting them. Keep them all the same level.
I was just following joannas quest guide from 1-15 and was getting 30,000 experience per hour at those levels. It's all in the 3X exp for quests. You can effective just do the easiest and simple quests while skipping the time consuming quests and not run out of decent quests because the easy ones count as 3 so they cover for the time consuming ones you want to skip. You'll still have plenty of completed quests turning from yellow to green if you follow a decent guide, but make sure to turn them in before they go grey or you lose the bonus. It took me 52 minutes to get my quadbox to level 15, and I can say with a straight face that I wasn't even rushing it.
So if I have 5 accounts already, and buy three more (call these Ryan, Chris, Ken)....link the three accounts to two of my original five (we'll call these two Bob, Joe) so...
Bob refers Ryan
Bob refers Chris
Joe refers Ken
If Bob, Joe, Ryan, Chris, and Ken are all grouped, they all get 3x XP?

As long as they are all at the same level you get x3 for killing mobs, correctamundo. Quest exp you get X3 regardless.
What about transferring toons to the new accounts?
In my scenario I described above, could I transfer lvl X toons to Ryan, Chris, and Ken. And when grouped with same level toons on Bob and Joe, will I get 3x XP?

Transferred toons act the same, if the accounts are linked and you follow the non trivial mobs and quests you'll be racking up the exp.
Well that seals the deal then. I'm going to transfer three toons onto new accounts and link 'em up.
The toons are only lvl 30, but their tradeskills are where they need to be and they have great gear. Wouldn't want to do that all over again so it's worth it to me to just transfer them.
Thanks badashh

No problem, I came to that conclusion too. I think leveling tradeskills 1-300 will take more effort than leveling 1-60.

I haven't read all post, but I just wanted to warn you all so you don't make the same mistake as me.
I made 3 new accounts via "recruit a friend". The first 2 are linked to my main account. The 3rd one is linked to the 1st newly created one. I didn't really think this through, so don't ask me why I did it like that :)
Main
/ \
Toon1 Toon2
|
Toon3
When I started boosting my new Toons with my lvl70 Priest I noticed only Toon3 getting the experience bonus. So boosting doesn't work for the Toons that are linked to the Booster.
I had to make a new toon on my main account to level together with the 3 others. This works fine, but wasn't what I had in mind ofcourse.
It took me 3 days to get to lvl30, only to see me getting surpassed by another multi-boxer on my realm in a few hours. :)
Yeah, from what I hear, an account can only be a veteran or a recruit, but not both.
So if you do Bob refers John, and John refers Dave, then John won't get the bonus if he's grouped with Bob and Dave at the same time. In fact, I think only Dave gets the bonus in that situation.

I bought 2 new accounts to go along with my other 2.
Account 1 not linked
Account 2 referred -> acct 3 who referred ->acct4
I did this so i could boost with Acct 1 and all the lowbies get 3x experience. I can confirm that this works, and works well.
So in this case Acct 3 is a veteran and a recruit. And actually you can give levels BOTH ways. That is to the referrer and to the Noob account. I didn't know you could do it to the Noob account before.

Did you use same email address for each invite?
also thinking of going from 5 accunts to 8 (limit of hardware)
this will allow me to level 4 new toons and boot them from any of the other three accounts.
should be a good way to get toons to 60 , fast

I used the exact same information for every account. Don't want to violate any TOS. :)
Another question....
I know the recruit can give one level for every two they gain to the veteran, can I give those levels to toons higher than 60? For example, on account Ryan I have a 65 warrior and a 30 paladin, account Bob has a 30 mage. For every two levels the mage gets, can I give the free level to my 65 warrior?

No you cannot gift higher than 60.
Question for those in the know: Once my first group of 5 hits 60 and I lose 3X xp, do these accounts forever lose the 3x experience (if I want to level another group) or is that only lost after the 90 day point?

90 days, it doesn't care how many times you do it
