This is a VERY basic tutorial on how to set up your first multiboxing group in world of warcraft.

It makes the following assumptions:
* You have World of Warcraft installed
* You have set up your multiplexer
* You have more than one account (trials count)

This tutorial covers:
* Basics of movement
* Your first follow macro
* Basics of casting
* Your first assist macro
* Your first spread out formation

:P You should hear the gag reel.

I was going to sneak it in at the end then thought better of it. ;)

The tutorial is very, VERY simple, but I might do some more on "advanced" targeting/assist macros, addons, etc.

Heh on my server Durotan, I was asked by several people who were just getting into boxing, or wanted to know more about it. I would go into a log translation of this and that, then at the end, they would say, "what was that thing about the thing on that thing?".... Got old quick. Then some would whisper me every few minutes wanting me to take them step by step on how to setup everything, keyclone as well. I would always point them here, but they kept on asking, and I would keep answering them and telling them what to do. (I know, bad me for not telling them to piss off and come here, lol)

They would always tell me to make a video explaining the whole process, but working 60+ hours a week don't give me much time to make videos/edit, and so forth.

So, good job Vyn, liked it. :thumbsup:

I took the liberty of adding a link to this to the wiki's Getting Started page (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/index.php/Getting_started#Basic_In-Game_Tutorial). I'm sure it could be linked into a few other spots there to make it easier to find. ;)

Yeah, Alliance side, the names are are Areines, Arneun, Aracht, Arsieben, Kaymeer. 4 Shamans. Kaymeer is a Pally, so going to boost my 20 Shaman to my 63 Shamans.

You said VyndreeA instead of MultiboxingA a few times, but other than that it was very informative!

I noticed that post-upload. >.<

It's actually VboxingA/b/c/d/e, but every now and then I heard "VyndreeA". I need to develop consistency.

Still a good product. ;)

P.S. Don't let MSFT see this or you'll be doing all the "Train the Trainer" sessions for your group. :P

I doubt it. ;)

I don't think I could train anyone IRL -- I look like I'm 12. Nobody would listen. Heh.

My last team during my reviews I kept getting told that my team thought I was a intern and that I was "too green". >.<

Very very nice video, excellently explained and exampled.
Looking forward to seeing more tutorials.
These are really going to help new multiboxers, and hopefully save the rest of us from many of the common "how to" questions. :D

excellently explained and exampled.

Woohoo! :)

I'm glad you liked it -- I made a point to demonstrate WHY our macros are a good idea by showing things like keyboard movement lag and targeting issues.

Let me know if there's anything specific you want to see in new videos that'll help cut down the newbie spam.

Great video - very professional.

I happened to run across your video a few days before watching a couple Visual Basic 2008 tutorial vids and was even more impressed with your presentation (has alot of the qualities of the MS videos - but with better humor).

Excellent video guide, Vyndree!
Should be a separate sticky in the beginners forum imho. I know it's indirectly linked there already and you're trying to keep that section clean, but still... It's just too good.

I appreciate your effort and I hope to see more.

Looking at the number of... shall we say "basic"... questions we're getting on the newcomers forum, I'd say this thread was long overdue for a nice BUMP!

Fur, you're such a cynic.

You'll be telling me they don't know / care about the Wiki (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki) next!
