Rukia (anime thread)

Alright so I'm not really that big of an Anime fan, although I do watch one in particular "Bleach". With the character Rukia, now mind you she isn't necessarily an over the top good looking character but she has that cute appeal.

The reason I made this though is that I've seen a few others in this community with rukia type avatars as well, there's something fishy of this character that makes you like her!

of all the animes I have seen, my favorite characters would have to be a tie between Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin and Vash the Stampede from Trigun. Both fairly old animes, but very worth watching if you are an anime buff and havent watched those yet.

Trigun has to be my most favorite anime. I use to be a huge anime fan until i started playing wow. It isn't cause wow takes up all my time it is that there are way too many animes that i want to watch that all look great but at like $20 per dvd it isn't cheap. I have probably about 2k anime dvds no lie (maybe more). So if anyone wants anime advise or what ones to watch let me know and i can give you a huge list (they wont be the newer ones, but when i say old i mean like from 2005 old that is basically when i stopped buying a lot). Hopefully my kids will be into anime and i can use them as an excuse. I also loved this anime "Martin Sucessor Nedisco". But never heard of Bleach ;(

i suggest you pick up bleach or naruto. either are really good if you ahvent seen them.
although personally, i prefer manga over anime. they cut to the chase and dont have any fillers like animes :P

True, plus i heard that they have a better story line. The same is true with any book and movie. The one that i really want to read is Trigun, the anime was great, but I found it hard to understand the "True" story behind everything. I watched it 4 times and i understand about 90% of it. I know what he is trying to do and stuff, what i mean by "True" is like the history of Vash and stuff. In the anime vash shoots his brother and every time you see his brother, until the end, he is in a bubble. Well after searching the web i found out that they can regenerate and that is why he was in the bubble. Vash just choses not to regenerate. As in the manga to says that his brother was merging with other "plants" to become stronger. I really want to read that manga, but i am a really really really slow reader (like 1 hour to read like 10 pages or something like that) that is why i watch tv. I also heard that they really never finished that manga, that the author got so out of control with the story that he doesn't know how to end it.

People keep telling me to watch bleach. But i'm lazy. I'm not a huge anime fan. I did like Wolfs Rain, Blood+, and Akira out of what I've seen tho. The rest was pretty forgettable. Those 3 stuck with me though. Oh man, and Record of Lodoss(sp?) War. I took my first loan refund check to the mall and bought the whole series of Record of Lodoss wars lol. Also b ought a buncha DBZ, because I was into it at the time. It got pretty repetitive tho, after awhile. meh. I never saw past teh whole Cell story arc, lol. Funny, it's been so long since i saw record That i'm having trouble remembering most of it. I'll have to re watch it sometime. Bleh, its VHS tho. gah.

Code Geass is my favorite anime. I watch bleach and naruto as well, but Code Geass is the best in my opinion.

Edit: Rukia's zanpakuto is definately the coolest!

Oh man, and Record of Lodoss(sp?) War

What ones did you watch? If i remember correctly there are 3 different series. 1st series is the OVA which has 13 episodes which is great. 2nd series doesn't go by the first series but does reference it a little, not as good as the first but still great, has 26 episodes. Then they made 2 movies about lodoss war, it seems to take place after the series 2, the anime is a huge difference (didn't like it too much) but still good story line. God i miss anime, i might start watching them again when i have kids, hopefully they will either get hooked on WoW or anime. If they get hooked on there on that would make me a proud father ;( ... lol

RahXephon i think is a great anime. Good story line, but like most anime you don't know what the plot or whole story is until the last 2 episodes. It is funny how they have all these questions and come last episode they answer them all. ;( ;( Now i feel like buying some new ones, but i should just rewatch the old ones, i barely remember them
