Good to know that went well for you. Last night, I reported myself just to make sure they know about my accounts being multiboxed. I'm almost certain the GM I got hates multiboxers. Granted, the literal meaning of his statements were true, but he was still a jackass. What he said was, "Well, regardless of whatever I note on your accounts, if we receive any reports of you doing anything but legitimately multiboxing, we still have to investigate."
Like I said, the literal meaning of the statement is true. But that's like the idiot managers / parents / authority figures / etc. that pull the, "I believe you weren't doing <bad thing here>, but if you were..." Bottom line, the implied insult is still there. It's basically being corrected even though you did nothing wrong. Especially in the context of my being a multiboxer willing to report himself in order to expedite the report and investigation processes. Like I wouldn't know they need to investigate... Seriously, any report made against me will NOT be for legitimately multiboxing! Try botting, hacking, etc.
Whatever.
EDIT: Fixed a typo that had most of the text in my post being struck out.

I had my first run-in with hostile players (The TOS lawyer types) yesterday. The 3 shamans in question are level 60 now, and probably evaded this sort of thing because I instance grind. Why did it happen yesterday? Probably because a) I'm Alliance. b) I was in Hellfire Penninsula. Those two are a dangerous mix of ignorance and stupidity. Everyone else has a million of these stories, but I think I get to post my first-time too!
The GMs have yet to bother contacting me.
1:
Kristofer: "dont bot"
Me: "I'm not botting. This is multi-boxing, in which I control several characters with a single keyboard and mouse. It's completely legal."
Kristofer: "reporting you anyway"
Me: (Here I lovingly typed out 6 paragraphs on the difference between multi-boxing, and where he could find more resources on the subject including actual conversations with in-game customer support (("GMs")) about the legality of what I was doing)
Kristofer: dont spam me
Me: "You might want to familiarize yourself with the definition of spam in the TOS user public chat channel policy"
Thanks to you guys at dual-boxing and Suvega and Vyndree at vboxing, I was prepared. It's like when someone tells you some way to defeat a warlock/mage duo when you're a prot warrior and you actually pull it off. I was CHARGED!
So I crossed the street (or Path of Glory) to burn some blade-throwers, and a druid descends and stands there staring.
Me: WOW! I've never seen swift flight form up close before. You look really cool!
Them: The joiner command, eh? Been a while since I've seen it used.
Me: I use a program called Keyclone to allow me to control other clients. It's a standalone program with lots of applications, but it's completely legal.
Them: Nice hack.
Me: Addon, not hack.
Them: Well hack being
Them: a bit
Them: strong
Me: I don't appreciate the implication there.
Them: Still
Them: That thing you sign when you
Them: The legal thing
Them: I wouldn't recommend using it
Me: (insert paragraph explaining the legality in easy-sauce language)
Them: Very much
59Hunter: WOW!
Them: if at all
59Hunter: three 60 draenei shamans!
Them: for exactly that reason
59Hunter: Where did you come from?
Pop-up: Your group is now ready to enter Alterac Valley 2.
Me: You're not willing to listen. Gotta go, AV queue. IT'S LEGAL!
I think I'll report myself as well just to get it overwith.

I highly suggest it.
It gives you that extra security blanket knowing that there's a record of you multiboxing in the case that some poorly-trained GM doesn't know his policies.

I reported myself while i was boxing Mech. The GM was really nice. I asked him to look at how i did it and my addons and told him i used Keyclone. And he was like "the looks just fine". I also asked him a few other questions, like i have a re wispering addon that rewispers all wispers from my alts to y main. and if Gold spammers wisper my alt. it might look like my alt is trying to sell my main gold.. He said that that wont be a problem since my main wont report my alt for it. And still then it shouldnt be a problem. I also then asked him if he could like make a note that i am multiboxing. so that all other GMs would directly see it.. but he was not able to keep notes on ppl..
I agree that we all should report us self and tell them that, "hello, i'm multiboxing, does it look fine with you guys..?"

I went ahead and submitted a ticket for my Main. Probably a good idea to do this!
