Last weekend I installed this program more or less out of curiosity. I use all hardware. But I thought hey, how about using it with my 6th machine for quest look-ups and such.
Took me a couple tries but I managed to install it correctly. Pretty neat software. After using it a bit it I figured I could use this software package across all my computers it may make collection quests and a few tedious tasks easier with not always having to use the KVM to switch to an alt.
That said is it possible to use while wow is in full screen mode? Right now in full screen mode if I mouse off the screen to another pc it minimizes wow. I value my full screen mode and not willing to sacrifice it. Perhaps someone fiddled with it enough to make it work full screen?
Thanks

I run synergy with three machines. I have warcraft running on my main machine in Windowed Mode but with the Maximized option checked. This looks the same as if it is in Full Screen mode. The other two machines are running two instances of warcraft in Windowed Mode and in 1040x786. When I move my mouse out of my main display, Warcraft stays maximized but I see the blue task bar from my desktop.
So I think the answer you're looking for is to go into your video options and select Windowed Mode and Maximized. Then you can seemlessly move your mouse around your systems.

Yup.
As soon as you reach the edge of the "full screen" WoW, it'll kick over to next computer.
The only thing about synergy is that on the secondary computers, mouselook control in WoW (its fine in Windows/Linux/etc) goes haywire.
You resolve that issue by hitting Scroll Lock and set the relative mouse movements option in Synergy. A little pain in the ass but it's free, so it's hard to complain. Is there an alternative to Synergy that doesn't make the mouse go haywire? I'd love to try it out if there is one.

Very cool, thanks much. I might just end up using this. Love how you can setup the layout to any monitor config. Works perfect for mine.

Check options:
Don't take foreground on windows servers.
Think that lets you run WoW in full screen without using windows/maximised.

^^^^^^^ This is the correct answer! :)
The use relative mouse option stops your mouse going screwy when you use it in other screens.
And yeah the monitor config is brilliant - you can configure you're exact setup with it. I have a 5 monitor array, 3 at the bottom and two at the top, like so:
..[ ][ ]
[ ][ ][ ]
I've set up synergy so that if I mouse up from the middle monitor on the bottom, it goes to the top left monitor if I cross over on the top left side of the screen. Conversely if I cross over on the top right side of the screen, it goes to the top right monitor. And the positions match exaclty - i.e. the mouse cursor appears on the bottom of the top row monitors in exactly the same place as it left the top of the screen in the bottom row of monitors.
The effect feels like I'm running one giant screen with WoW divided up into windows...very cool.

That option is unchecked by default.

can you explain the relative mouse option a little better. I selected that checkbox on my server machine, but the mouse still goes crazy. Is there something I should do on the client machine?

Same issue here, seeking a solution and don't exactly want to setup and configure Multibox since I already have Synergy working 90% :).

When moving the mouse into a monitor which is not the main monitor, you have to have the use relative mouse option set in Synergy and press "Scroll Lock" on your keyboard when your mouse is on the non-main monitor. The screen stops going crazy but you also can't leave the screen until you press "Scroll Lock" again. It's a toggle of some sort.
You can make a binding so it switches you to the screen you want and initiate the scroll lock at the same time but that means you can't just swing your mouse over to the other monitor and start doing things in the game.

I'd give multibox a try. I tried both and went for multibox although I did have an issue with multibox resolving host names but one that is fixed it has worked perfectly in every way.

I agree, I'd use Multibox too if it supported multiple monitors on a single PC.

Synergy supports dual monitors on a single PC... is there something different about Multibox that doesn't?
The way my system is setup:
[System 2, Monitor 1][System 1, Monitor 1][System 1, Monitor 2][Laptop 1]
So if it has problems with dual head video that wouldn't work...
