I'm just trying to work out if this is a generic "I'm too damn lazy to do anything myself and expect to be babysat through the whole process" type post, or something like "my English skills aren't great so I have trouble understanding all the information that people have already spent DOZENS of hours typing up solely for the benefit of others".

If you are lazy and just want somebody to hand-hold you, use these links instead and come back with very specific questions you need answering:

Search facility (http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?form=search)
Wiki (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki)
Software Tools (http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Board&boardID=9)

If you have trouble understanding something, post a specific question here and people will generally fall over themselves to help you.

If you speak / understand neither English nor German very well (because we do have a dedicated forum for German speakers) then you'll want to post what your native language is to see if anybody is willing to help you out in that language.

I bet $10 on box A though.

1. read all the guides on this site
2. download keyclone (easy for beginner to get to grips with) follow the onsite tutorial
3. follow this guide for and example on how to set your system up http://www.gaxonline.com/profiles/blog/show?id=1511077%3ABlogPost%3A107675 (this is one of the linked guides from this site so you should have read this already)
4. use the required macros for your character from the macros forum/wiki

This is probably about as much info as you will get, as most people on this site expect you to read the guides and work it out for yourself, rather than be "spoon fed" all the information.. Also if you work it out for yourself, you will be better prepared for any changes you have to make later.

Well, I know for a fact that we have a couple of Icelanders amongst us so maybe you'll get lucky and one of those will help you.

Do take some time to inform yourself though, using the links posted. You can even decide what software is likely to suit you best from there. For most people, this isn't something they can just jump into and you'll want to spend some time learning about the whole process.

Howdy Gutti and welcome to the forums!

if you are still confused after you read through the various posts, i should be available to hop on vent this weekend sometime and walk you through a basic setup.

good luck and welcome to the addiction :D
