I think I'd go stir crazy as well, but I would have at least 5 accounts full of 70s of each class by the end. Hospital beds are just so darn uncomfortable.

You know what i just thought of that wouldn't make me want to do this catheter. Everyone probably has one because they don't want you getting up. For females it wouldn't be that much of a problem, but for males will lets just say the mornings will be not be that pain free if you know what i mean ;) . Maybe the guys are lucky and can go in a cup.

People with long term (3 months could be considered Long Term) Catheters generally contract E-Coli (which is incurrable).

I'm hoping they have a different solution, or more sanitary Catheter procedures, to ensure this doesn't happen :p Otherwise, its not worth it.

they don't keep the same ones in the whole time. They probably change it after to many liters.

I spent far less than 3 months (a little under 3 weeks, actually!!!) in the unforunate position of being forced to lay in exactly that way - flat, with my head slightly tilted back - and US$17k would have to be the daily rate before I'd even consider volunteering myself for that again :)

The test subjects are paid $10 per hour, or about $17,000 over the course of the study That "or" part is confusing me. If you think about is $10 an hour is good money for doing nothing and you are doing nothing all day so that is $240 a day and $1,680 a week. The average month has 4 weeks so that is $6,720 and they are doing it for 3 month, so that will bring the total to $20,160. If that is all tax free that is some nice money for 3 months. The other thing is that after the three months you cannot walk or do anything so now you can claim disability. Now if you really want to make money after about a couple months after the study sue the college and say that your body has never recovered and you will never be able to do the Olympics so that is about 2 million there. Then write a book about it, we'll say .5 million there cause who reads...lol. Then you sell your movie rights so that is another 2 million. So with 5 years this study just gave you 4.5 million. So that would be $900,000 a year, $75,000 a month, $18,750, and $468.75 an hour (that is a normal 40 hour work week).... where can you sign me up :P

You'll probably get a good lier... i mean lawyer that will find a way around it. The famous "I didn't know this was going to happen"... hay if a person can sue because they split coffee on there lap, or the new one i read there was a guy in California who sued Winabego because he stuck his rv on cruise control, went back to make coffee and it wrecked. Not only did he win two million dollars, but also a new Winabego.
