first push: PCT
second push: ST,
third push: TT,
fourth push: GT
if you don't push it before 15 seconds are up between pushes, it resets.

Why end with grounding totem and not with searing totem?

/castsequence reset=15 Poison Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem

Why end with grounding totem and not with searing totem?Becuase with 4 shamans, your going to be casting all 4 differant totems.

Ex.
Shaman 1 /castsequence reset=15 Poison Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem
Shaman 2 /castsequence reset=15 Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem
Shaman 3 /castsequence reset=15 Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem
etc. etc.

can i ask

/cast [target=focustarget] Lightning Bolt
/assist Focus

whats the point in the /assist Focus on the end?In the event the previous target is invalid the cursor lights up, the post-cast assist causes the spell to cast on the new target. You could just as easily flip that order and it would work the same I believe.

the /assist piece was just for my live stream pc so you could see who I was targeting, when I first set it up - no one could tell who I was going for :P

Hey ellay :) thx for sharing :) It's always nice to hear what the best are using ^^

quick question tho.. I remember in ur vid you said you set ur focus on a player (a warrior for instance) of the opposing team.

but if ur using focus on ur clones how do you do that exactly? is it just ur main that uses focus as a targeting tool, and then you switch to a /t [target=focus] on your main whilst ur clones use the standard /cast [target=focustarget] ? am just curiouse as to how you get your clones to target the right guy when you use focus on your main :)

or did i completely flip out and imagine that :S

I remember that too, it was a hunter iirc. Perhaps the focus macros are not used on the primary character allowing a new focus to be set on that one alone.

I'm a bit curious as to the /assist focus command in the clones' lightning bolt macro also. I was considering doing this as well because on occasion it seems like my guys are firing at the wrong target. I'm pretty sure this is due to switching targets and hammering my Lightning bolt button, so due to latency my clones' targets haven't caught up. Regardless, it would give me peace of mind to keep tabs on all the guys from my Main window by seeing who they have targeted.

The reason I haven't done this yet is because if all 4 shamans paint a guy red by targeting him then the other team knows exactly who is gonna get wasted. The way I have things setup now is my clones have an empty target when we start but the second someone damages them they automatically pick up that target, so random members of the other team are on my teams active targets. I think this might be an advantage because many bar mods highlight the persons name in red when an enemy targets them. It's probably worth it to highlight as many of their team members as possible so the healer doesn't know exactly whose gonna get blasted.

As to the /castsequence macro. I left grounding totem out of my main PVP totem set because it would get 'stuck' on the Grounding Totem's cooldown. When the enemy got smart and started going after tremor totems I'd spam that button and I do not want it to get caught up and leave me unprotected. Same thing with putting earthbind on your main totem set, it has a cooldown. Recently I did put grounding totem in my main PVP totem set, but I put grounding totem as the last cast on all my toons. That way I could cycle through by pressing the button 7 times before getting 'stuck' on the grounding totem.

I'm planning on revising my totem set to have 3 characters put grounding totems down as the last cast in the sequence and 1 character putting earthbind down.

/castsequence reset=2 onetotem,twototem,threetotem,Grounding Totem
/castsequence reset=2 onetotem,twototem,threetotem,Grounding Totem
/castsequence reset=2 onetotem,twototem,threetotem,Grounding Totem
/castsequence reset=2 onetotem, twototem, threetotem,Earth Bind Totem [this toon will have his Grounding totem on a seperate button, which refreshes grounding on all toons]

That gives you 7 presses before the button gets jammed up on the totem cool down. I also use a much shorter reset time so that I CAN get to the top of the sequence in case it does get jammed at the CDs.

I've never had a problem like before. All my totems go down just fine. :/

That problem only happens if you need/want to recast all your totems again within 15 seconds of your previous cast of them.
But Nixi, don't forget to have a tremor totem in each layer of totems so you get them properly staggered.

Does no one go gunning for your tremor totems as fast as you can cast them?

I had a well disciplined team in Warsong Gulch do that to me. It was totally embarassing. They completely locked me down by taking out my tremor totems, healing while the melee were killing them, then all the priests/locks would go AOE fear crazy on me once they were down. I was mashing my 'totem button' but it was choked up on the grounding totem. So i changed the macro. I suppose in arena's this probably doesn't happen that much, but it still could happen.

I mean, if you don't have your tremors in your 'big totem sequence' then how do you stagger them? And if you have your tremors and groundings in the sequence haven't you ever had to lay out the tremors faster than the grounding totem CD?

I also have tremor by itself bound to a seperate key for those cases.

Also blow up the person knocking down the totems :)

i have 3 sets of macros for my totems. i have a set of macros for just tremor
/castsequence tremor totem,,,
/castsequence ,tremor totem,,
etc

and the usual one ellay stated and another with just 4x grounding. sometimes sticking down 1 at a time can take too long.

/castsequence reset=15 Poison Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem

Why end with grounding totem and not with searing totem?Becuase with 4 shamans, your going to be casting all 4 differant totems.

Ex.
Shaman 1 /castsequence reset=15 Poison Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem
Shaman 2 /castsequence reset=15 Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem
Shaman 3 /castsequence reset=15 Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem
etc. etc.
In my setup I actually leave Grounding totem last on all my Shaman. Since your tremor totem is on a 3 second pulse you dont gain anything by dropping a your 4th Shamans last. it just stacks with the first totem drop.

In practice saving your grounding totem for last allows me to reapply my other totems in 3 keypresses. I have my grounding totems all linked so i can instant drop on all four toons also.

I open up with:

Shaman 1 /castsequence reset=15 Tremor Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Wrath of Air Totem
Shaman 2 /castsequence reset=15 Poison Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Grounding Totem
Shaman 3 /castsequence reset=15 Searing Totem, Tremor Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem, Grounding Totem
Shaman 4 /castsequence reset=15 Tremor Totem, Poising Cleansing Totem, Searing Totem, Grounding Totem

I had good success with this because if they happen to rush in while the Grounding totems are on cooldown and things don't go as planned, I can throw one up and hopefully eat a couple of spells while I run for cover so I can reapply grounding totems. I believe Grounding totem management is probably one of the best tools we have. Shutting down DPS and fears is a big part of the Shaman synergy. If played right a lock has to get through 12 totems to fear you. 8 Grounding and 4 Tremor. I'd say its a bit OP but without it these classes would destroy us.
Those 15s while the Grounding Totem is on cooldown is when we are most vulnerable to casters. Keeping your Grounding totems on cool down at the same time allows for an incredibly strong D against casters. If you space them evenly in your castsequence the cooldown will never be up when you need it. Ie. Being fear spammed by warrior, warlock, priest...while the mage has bloodlust up and is casting frostbolts faster then you can heal through them; while you try to drop grounding totem after grounding totem is sequence. A totally different result than if you can just drop 4 at once, purge and nuke.
