Tips and tactics

This instance 2 randomly selected bosses and a blue dragon as an end boss.

Randoms: Erekem Moragg Ichoron Xevozz Lavanthor Zuramat the Obliterator

End boss: Cyanigosa

There will be 18 waves which contain 5 waves of mobs and the 6th wave being a boss each time. There are 8 possible spots for portals to spawn.

In front of Erekem - This is always a single Portal Keeper/Guardian In front of Zuramat - This is always an Elite Dragonsquad In front of Xevozz - This is always a single Portal Keeper/Guardian In front of Ichoron - This is always an Elite Dragonsquad Above Ichoron - This is always a single Portal Keeper/Guardian Up above between Moragg and Ichoron - This is always an Elite Dragonsquad In front of Moragg - This is always a single Portal Keeper/Guardian In front of Lavanthor - This is always a single Portal Keeper/Guardian

During the first 12 waves the Squads will consist of 3 mobs, and during 13-18 - of 4. The members of each Squad are chosen randomly amongst Azure Captain, Azure Raider, Azure Sorceror and Azure Stalker.

Throughout the instance there are red switches which will activate the defense systems fire off an acrane blast in the prison. This kills most smaller mobs and damages elites. Use these if you get swarmed.

Erekem

This is an Arrakoa with 2 guards. Simple tank and spank where all you have to do is NOT kill his adds. If you do, the boss will start stormstriking you which will up the damage so that your healer can't keep up. Boss first, then adds and you'll be fine.

Moragg

Stack your team as closely together as you can and use Shadow Resistance Aura. His beams do more damage the further you are away. Just DPS him down and heal accordingly, tank and spank fight.

Ichoron

Ichoron starts off with a water bubble around him with 30 charges. Each time you deal damage, you take off a charge but your damage is reduced by 99% as well. Tanks should use high threat abilities to keep Ichoron sticking to them. When the bubble bursts, everyone is shot back so try to keep your back to a wall. As soon as the bubble bursts, Ichoron disappears and several small water elementals appear which slowly move towards where Ichoron 'exploded'. When they reach him, they heal Ichoron. The easy way to do this is to pop a security switch each time Ichoron bursts so the arcane blast kills all the little water elementals. This will also get you the achievement for Ichoron but will not get your the Defenseless achievement. After about 3 explosions, Ichoron will enrage and you can just DPS him down without having to worry about the shield, charges or little water elementals.

If you want to kill him without using the switches, I suggest putting your DPS with their back against the wall and tank him in the middle. Pop 4 fire elementals there and consider is a tank and spank. Try to single target DPS as many of the little water elementals down as you can.

Xevozz

The biggest pain in the ass there is in this instance. This boss summons two arcane balls which slowly float towards to boss. If they reach him, he'll gain a speed and haste buff which is only survivable with shield wall and stuff like that. You have to keep the boss in line of sight with the arcane balls because if you don't, he will teleport your entire team, himself and the 2 arcane balls on top of each other which is pretty much a wipe.

Put your shamans with their back against the wall, next to Xevozz's prison. Xevozz will now walk outside and stand somewhat in front of your shamans. As soon as he becomes targetable, unload with everything you have. Bloodlust/Heroism, trinkets, Avenging Wrath etc. etc. You have a couple of seconds to DPS him before he summons the arcane balls so I suggest you make the most of it. When the balls appear, kite the boss around them without coming near them or letting the balls touch the boss. Keep up DPS and hopefully he won't teleport you on top of each other and kill you.

If he does, spread out immediately and pop your damage reduction abilities and trinkets (shield wall etc). Hopefully you can burn him down before he finishes you off.

Lavanthor

Tank this boss where he starts, keep him faced away from your party. Put down a fire resistance totem and 4 grounding totems to eat most of his abilities. Once in a while he might put fire on the ground so don't stand in that. For the rest, it's a normal tank and spank. Skinning him gives between 9 and 12 borean leather.

Zuramat the Obliterator

He has an annoying ability called Shroud of Darkness which reduces healing on whoever hits him so I suggest purging/dispelling that. Other than that, drop 4 healing stream totems, pop a shadow resistance totem and just burn him down with whatever you got to make sure you kill him before his void sentries overwhelm you. If you do, you get the achievement. Popping fire elementals will also AOE down the void sentries but you won't get the achievement that way.

Cyanigosa

Tank and spank. Put up frost resistance and keep your shamans to the side while tanking the boss. Dispel Uncontrollable energy from your tank and just DPS. If she teleports you all on top of eachother, just walk backwards with your tank and continue to DPS and heal when needed.
