Level Cleared - Group Composition - Short Comment
Level 70 - 1x Protection Paladin, 1x Elemental Shaman, 1x Resto Shaman, 2x Fire Mage - ran immediately after hitting 70, skipping Nethermancer boss. Only wipes were on trash - the two large demon pulls before Capacitus and the gauntlet event.
Tips and Tactics
- If your group composition includes a tank, beware the Mechanar Crushers (Mechanar Drillers, which look very similar, are pretty easy). The crushers will disorient your tank, causing all mobs to go after your main group for a few seconds. I recommend killing these first, and stunning if possible.
- Tempest-Forge Patrollers have a long aggro range. They also call for help when they are low HP. I would recommend clearing these out early whenever possible. Pull them a long distance from any other Patrollers.
- Tempest-Forge destroyers are really tough. They have a lot of HP, and a reasonable damage melee attack. Most of the damage they do, comes from their "Charged Fist" attack, which has about 1 second cast time. If they get this off, then every attack they do for the next 6 seconds or so, has an aoe nature damage which does about 2000. Interrupt Charged fist whenever possible.
Bosses
Mechano-Lord Capacitus
- Position him on the glass floor, with your group just outside the edge of the glass floor. If you get him in the right spot, your group won't get hit by bombs.
- The red shield damages melee attackers, the green shield reflects spells. Your tank should stop meleeing him during red shield, and your casters should stop casting during green shield.
- He goes down pretty quick with bloodlust.
Nethermancer Sepethrea
- You can skip this boss. Just don't aggro her during the "Gauntlet" event.
Pathaleon the Calculator
- Low HP boss
- Summons adds periodically.
- Fire elementals take care of the adds pretty well.
- Mind controls a random non-tank target so make sure your main keeps aggro to avoid targeting issues associated with mind control.
- I haven't really ever had a problem with the adds, with a combination of fire elementals and a LB/CL rotation, they shouldn't last long enough to give your group problems. I never had to target them individually.
- When you drop him to 20%, any remaining adds despawn. So just burn him quick and the fight will be very simple. You should be able to kill him in the span of 1 bloodlust.
Mini Bosses
Gatewatcher Gyro-Kill
- None
Gatewatcher Iron-Hand
- When you get the message that he "raises his fist in the air" he will stand in one spot and do an aoe damage. Run out of melee range for the duration of this. If aggro is a problem, get your casters to stop casting during the aoe.
