Level Cleared - Group Composition - Short Comment
Level 63 - 1x Paladin (Tank), 1x Shaman (Healer), 3x Mage (DPS) - Easy to clear if you have patience and clear rooms and also completed the Paladin Mount Quest.
Level 59/60 - 5x Shaman
- First, second, third room, Grounding totem makes this a walk in the park. Just pull a pack at a time and kill them off, sometimes you need to kill a melee first.
- Rattlegore, the adds hit harder then the boss. Adds nearly 2 shotted me, LB pull, CL when bolts are flying, Frost shock and one last LB volley to kill them. For the boss, I spread me 5 shammies a bit from each other (he does a stun, but haven't seen it happen), pulled with Elemental Mastery LB, another LB volley, Earth shock and one more LB volley. One shammy who had agro was nearly dead (couldn't be bothered to heal :p) If you find the trash easy, he'll be even easier :)
- Risen Aberration are spell immune. I logged one shammy and logged my 70 rogue to just kill those. Since my shammies have barely any melee skill. (The mobs are NON elite lvl 57 mobs, so you could melee them if you're high enough)
- Skipped the student area and went for Ras Frostwhisper, clearing his room, Grounding Totem Spam, mow everything down. Ras himself = Totem Forest, Grounding, Tremor, nuke him down. Fear kinda bugged on me, porting me against a wall with toons all over the place.
- Made my way to the end rooms, started with Instructor Malicia, DPS the room down, Grounding for Adapts, pure DPS for necro/Occultists. Malicia herself is the easiest boss ever, DPS her down, let her cast her Flash Heal, barely heals her, I shocked her 'Heal' and then she died, she hit me once ;)
- Doctor Theolen Krastinov room next, DPS each mob, and then GET OUT OF THE CLOUD!! :p I accidentally pulled 3, just run out of the room, drop some earthbind and jump down. Shoot them down, run up the stairs and repeat if needed. Doctor himself is insane on dmg, I wiped 3 times on him. Spread the shammies out all accross the room (so he has to run a bit after he kills one), burned all my dps and trinkets till he died. No point in healing, he 2 shots most of my toons... You can even reincarnate if needed :p
Tips and Tactics
- Diseased Ghouls - When they die, they leave a disease cloud. I learned this the hard way, went I entered the room and AOEd all of them. They all died... then we all died from the cloud.
- Paladin Mount Quest - Put the item in the center of the room after you clear Rattlegore and the room. Go to the top left corner (the corner to the right when you first enter the room). At level 63, I didn't gain most of the agro, so the mobs were just roaming around letting me gain mana and heal and go at it at my own leisure. Don't know if it was a bug or not, so just something to keep in mind if you are having a hard time at lower levels. Fairly easy to complete because of this.
- Risen Aberation's are IMMUNE to all spells (except holy and holy water from strat). I made the mistake of thinking of trying to clear Strat with 5x 60 Shamans. I was doing pretty good, but once I got to the Risen Aberation mobs, unable to damage them I was stuck. So keep this in mind.
