Pet Powerleveling

One method for helping lowbie characters level up is to use high level Hunter or Warlock pets to kill things and get FULL XP for the kills. It's done like this:

1) Group two or more lowbies together that you want to level up. This is essential! This technique does NOT work for helping just one lowbie, you must have at least two grouped.

2) Get one or more high-level Hunters and/or Warlocks to follow the lowbies around, but DON'T group them with the lowbies. It DOES NOT matter how much higher these characters are than the lowbies. The higher, the better, preferably level 70.

3) Tag a mob with the lowbies being sure that you inflict at least one point of damage.

4) Send in the Hunter/Warlock pet(s) to finish the kill. DON'T use any offensive ability or spell of the Hunter/Warlock for damage, just the pets.

5) You will receive full XP for the kill, split between your lowbies as normal when grouped.

This works great for gaining the first 30 or so levels for your lowbies as you will be mostly be one and two shotting the mobs with the pets. As you get higher it takes longer to kill with just the pets. This can be improved by adding more Hunters/Warlocks if you have them available. Even when the killing slows down with the pet, its still great to have them helping in fights, especially if they are tanking mobs for lowbie clothies.

I've found that helping Druids with this technique works well as they have Moonfire which instantly applies damage, doesn't have a cooldown, and can be thrown on-the-run.
