Level Cleared - Group Composition - Short Comment

Pally tank and 4 shammies at lvl70. A fairly long instance with lots of big pulls. Had no problem tanking them with a pally though. I didn't AOE trash but it's certainly an option, probably would make things a lot faster. There are pulls as big as 7 or 8 guys at once. Some mobs use fear, I didn't figure out which one it was but I just dropped tremor when a fear happened.

Tips and Tactics

  1. None

Bosses

Grand Warlock Nethekurse

  1. Pally tank and 4 shamans: Fairly easy until he hits 20%. He does these small AOE shadow damage Void Zones under a random player. I had my shammies on follow and just ran out of them. I usually wasn't fast enough to avoid all damage but one chain heal was enough to counter it (frost resistance aura on). He has pretty low health so he goes down fast.
  2. At 20% he starts a whirlwind attack and you need to get out of his melee range. He also casts shadowbolts at random people. He won't move after this so just ranged nuke him down, it won't take long and the shadowbolts shouldn't hurt you too much.

Blood Guard Porung

Warbringer O'mrogg

  1. He casts fear, so use tremor totems.
  2. He wipes aggro when he "changes heads" so be mindful of your nuking. I lost one guy to this, although he doesn't hit very hard.
  3. That's it really, with these two things in mind this guy should melt down faster than you can say "Randy".

Kargath Bladefist

  1. You really need to spread out for his Blade Dance, which he does in 30sec intervals. It kills a closely stacked group quickly.
  2. Adds will start running towards you after a small while from the hallway you came from. Pally tanking AOE and a LB+CL rotation was enough to kill most of them off. Some are rangers though, so you may need to target them to kill them unless you're using fire elementals. The remaining adds ran away when the boss dropped dead, so no need to worry about that.
  3. What I did was just run to the center of his cage with shammies following and dropped totems while building some initial aggro on the pally. I then used my spread out macro to move the shammies to the N,S,E and W of him and manually turned each one to face the boss. I lost my healer who was standing where the adds came from so that was a mistake, but with the initial earth shield and some off-healing from the DPSers here and there I was fine. He went down pretty fast considering I lost the semi-DPS/semi-healer right away AND I didn't have fire elementals because I wiped to the Blade Dance once and used the cooldown there. With smarter positioning and fire elementals I imagine this guy would be very easy.
