Tips and Tactics

  1. None

Bosses

Hungarfen

  1. This is a fairly simple tank and spank fight. The only issue for multi-boxers is that you need to keep all of your toons moving during the fight. Basically you want to keep your toons on follow as you move around the platform, stopping to heal and dps away from the exploding mushrooms. At 20% Hungarfen will root himself and drop a cloud that damages your party and heals him if you stay in it. I save my trinkets and other timer abilities for this stage and burn him down before he comes out of the root.
  2. Note from User:Mini: I wiped at my first try, where i tried making all my toons follow me, but several of my toons died quick receing damage from "Melee Swing" although my tank had aggro all the time, i suppose that he is some kinda cleaving, so i tried with "Follow, Stop -> Repeat" this worked much better out as my toons was always a bit further behind so they we'rent so close to the boss, i killed him at my second try.
  3. Alternate strategy (by Yarr): This works for me every time. This is for 1tank, and 4 caster setup. I have 3 of the casters following the 4th caster. This way I can keep the tank separate from the caster group, and yet the caster group remains highly mobile. Whenever a mushroom spawns upon the caster group, i use the caster "main" to reposition them. If a mushroom spawns on the tank instead, i can keep nuking with the casters while the tank repositions himself. The main advantages of this is that when the boss gets to 20% and does his fungal regrowth, only 1 person is in melee range rather than 5.  !! (by Dinkydau) - Best Strategy worked easily for me... Thanks Yarr

Ghaz'an

  1. For multi-boxers this fight is a test of your ability to put out big dps and big heals at the same time. Ghaz'an has an aoe tail swipe and a 180 degree frontal poison volley, to avoid them position your dps and healers to the side of Ghaz'an as you would for Onyxia. The tank will receive a stacking debuff that does substantial damage and cannnot be cleansed. Paladins can bubble out of it, but make sure your taunt is ready and that during the repositioning he doesn't tail swipe your party into the water.
  2. From User:Kyudo - My tip here is to park your dps at the bottom of the pipe with the platform to their left. Then run up with your tank toward the boss and aggro him with whatever ranged attack you have available. Then run back down the pipe asap and turn so your back faces the wall, grab aggro then DPS like crazy. Turns it into a pretty simple tank and spank fight with no risks of tail swipes.

Swamplord Musel'ek

  1. It is important to clear the two bog lords between the Swamplord and the Black Stalker due to a very long range punt the Swamplord will do from time to time. The tank needs to keep his back to a wall or at the very least positioned in a way that won't get him punted off the cliffs. The best way for a multi-boxer to approach this fight is to kill the Bear pet first as the Swamplord won't start laying freezing traps and aim shotting while you just focus on the pet.
  2. (Dinkydau) I started out by putting my Shaman on the right side of the little alcove that he is in. I hit Musel'ek with my shield and ran into the alcove staying on the right to start on the bear. This kept Musel'ek shooting me with his arrows while I took down the bear. After the bear is dead make sure that your back is always against a wall because his knockback will send you 60-80 feet away.

The Black Stalker

  1. A difficult fight for multi-boxers due to the levitate and aoe damage. I found a good way to reliably take this boss down though. When you are going down the hall to the Black Stalkers room, stay to the right and go all the way to the end. There is a little 'alcove' at the end with some mushrooms. Position your following toons under the mushrooms there and put your tank right at the edge of the alcove. Wait for the Black Stalker to come close enough to agro and then move a bit out. If you try to pull the Stalker to the spot he will de-aggro and reset. The 'mushroom cage' will keep your other toons from being levitated out of position. Also Levitate is channeled so this is a good time to catch up on healing or really go all out with dps. Once you can get your toons positioned in the mushroom cage reliably this becomes a surprisingly easy fight.
