Level Cleared - Group Composition - Short Comment

62 - Paladin, Mage, Mage, Warlock, Priest - Not too difficult, make sure you have the quest to find the missing CE members.

62 - Paladin, Shaman x 4 - Trash is easy, bosses are trivial except the 2nd one, he is a pain

63 - Warrior, Shaman, Mage x 3 - Pretty easy, cleared without any wipes.

63 - Paladin, Shaman x 4 - Bosses are fun, but do require a smidge more than tank'n'spank. Especially after a few beers. :)

63 - Shaman x 5 - Trash hits hard, First boss was tank and spank, second boss was very easy too, no idea what the other 5shaman boxer meant. Tank and spank it, and every 2 Lightning Bolts, 5x Lesser Healing Wave on your "tank" shaman (one who doesn't have -threat talents :p) and his debuff is gone, easy. Last boss hits very hard, I spread my shammies out, got the NR buff and an NR totem and nuked him down, trying to keep the tanking guy up. Burst dps when he does his nature spam attack, he's not hitting anyone then so you don't need to heal.

66 - Shaman x 5 - Tried it at 63 and second boss was almost impossible without a real tank. Once I got earth elementals the second boss was cake.

Tips and Tactics

  1. Be wary of the Nagas - the Defenders have an AoE fear, and the Champions have a Spell Reflect. Pull them back into a pre-cleared area before fighting them.

Bosses

Mennu the Betrayer

  1. Mennu is a simple tank and spank fight. However, he summons 4 different totems that do not have normal names - so existing totem kill macros will not work. I used this macro on my Healer (who can use wands):
    /tar Tainted S
    /tar Tainted E
    /tar Mennu's H
    /tar Corrupted
    /cast shoot
  1. I just created this macro for the fight and removed it after, since it isn't very useful otherwise.
  2. Extra tactic- Let your tank take out the totems with 1 click and you will be fine. Keep op blessing of salvation so you miss the threat you lose for pewpewing the totems

Rokmar the Crackler

  1. Frost resist is very important on this fight. I made sure that my mages all had Frost Ward ready to spam to reduce the damage to my mages.
  2. This is a heal-intensive fight. One party member will get a debuff that is a DoT that will not go away unless that target is healed to full.
  3. I actually had my Pally Tank get aggro, and then spam-heal himself while the priest healed him and the party.
  4. Bubble did not remove the debuff.
  5. DPS should be slow and steady so your tank can keep on top of the aggro list.
  6. Extra tactic - After a few whipes on my paladin / shamans, I just went full nuts on this guy and eventually got him down with 1 or 2 losses, just regain agro with taunting, so he doesnt kill your toons too fast, he is a pain.
  7. For 5 shamans - this fight is extremely difficult without earth elementals. I tried various tactics at 63 and gave up, never getting him below 45%. Came back at 66 and dropped 2 earth elementals and annihilated him without even trying.

Quagmirran

  1. This fight is easy even without the NR - I had 0 NR when I downed him.
  2. Salvation is the Blessing of choice on this fight.
  3. Turn the boss away from your group and have your group spread out.
  4. Fight him at least 20 feet away from the water - there is a lip there that will cause LOS issues.
  5. For 5 shamans, its recommended to get the NR buff from Naturalist Bite prior to fighting this guy, then drop a nature resist totem as well. Its harder with 5 shamans to hold aggro and swing the boss around on a main shaman, and if you use EEs to tank its really hard to guarantee the boss will face a certain direction. With the extra nature resist its easy to just spam the boss down throwing in chain heals as needed.
