CloneKeys - Mac Key Broadcasting application

CloneKeys duplicates (clones) incoming keystrokes and sends them to the applications as setup in the main CloneKeys configuration window. This is mostly useful for multi-boxing in games. (Open up multiple copies of World of Warcraft and use CloneKeys to send the same keystrokes to multiple windows simultaneously.) [1] CloneKeys is a simple Mac app that replicates keystrokes across multiple applications.

Not supported?

It seems the author of CloneKeys is no longer working on the project. Such is the life of Open Source. However, thanks to that same Open Source, the project was restarted as ClonedKeys. You can find it at http://code.google.com/p/clonedkeys/

Instructions

  1. Simply open up multiple WoW applications, start up CloneKeys, click Add, and then click the first WoW window, then click Add again, then click the next WoW window, etc...
  1. All system keystrokes will be sent to all windows you add. The exception is when you're on a password field. WoW puts the OS into a secure mode on the password field, so CloneKeys can't capture keystrokes while on the field. (Which is great, makes relogging in easier if you get disconnected.)
  1. Click the stop sign to stop broadcasting keys. You can also go into preferences and setup a hotkey to toggle broadcasting on/off.
