Level Cleared - Group Composition - Short Comment

Level 69 Shaman x5 - Make sure everyone is wearing a shield

Tips and Tactics

  1. Dark Prophets have fear - ALWAYS take the dark prophets down first, if you dont you will get feared (and even with 5x staggered tremors its still a pain when 3+ other mobs are beating on you). Not only that but when you kill them they turn into those crazy ghost guys that hit you for ~3000 damage each swing - if you kill the prophet at the spawn point the ghost wont reach you before it despawns.
  2. Shamans - Kill these second - they heal and they spawn a crazy little voidwalker that does insane damage and is immune to your lightning bolts, earth shocks, etc.
  3. The two mobs above will usually be grouped together, so kill the prophet first, then the shaman.
  4. I also target the time-lost mobs after the above 2 if there are any. They go down super fast but I believe they drop totems or do crazy things to you - I can't remember and I dropped them so fast they didn't do anything to me.
  5. Drop grounding totems any time you see a Talon Lord in a group, he will throw some discs that hit multiple party members, but your totems will absorb them. I leave these guys for last usually cause if you can absorb that first attack the rest isn't too bad.
  6. For the big non-elite bird pulls I just dropped my healing totems, cast chain lightning, then immediately dropped 5x fire nova totems. When the birds arrived they went off, killing most of them, one more chain lightning killed the rest.
  7. Any time you see 2 Ravenguards together you want to kill them without aggroing both. They have a super fast attack speed and if you let one of them beat on one of your shamans for any amount of time they will decimate him. I dropped all my totems making sure to drop stoneclaws, then pulled the first ravenguard with JUST lightning bolt (do NOT use chain lightning). Killed him before he reached me, then I started to wind up on the second one just as he attacked a stoneclaw and became stunned - this gives you enough time to lay into him once or twice before he attacks you, and then he'll go down before he can do much damage to you.
  8. On the last pull before Talon King Ikiss, you will probably either want to use some earth elementals, or use your trinket and elemental mastery. Its 5 elites and if you don't do one or the other you will probably wipe as they just do too much damage without a real tank. You won't need your Earth elementals for Ikiss so you could just use a few of those here to play it safe.

Bosses

Darkweaver Syth

  1. This guy is a pain for multiboxers, because theres no good way to deal with his adds. Because of that its really just a massive DPS race. I tried various methods and wiped a couple times. Finally I dropped 5x fire elementals (because you won't need them again until the last boss who is >20minutes past this guy), used elemental mastery, trinket, blood fury, and just went full bore on him. The fire elementals got aggro from all of his spawns, and I took him down without healing and without losing a single shaman. When I killed him he probably had 12-20 spawns up (but they all despawn when he dies).
  2. Be careful when you move into his room - as soon as you drop elemental totems they will aggro him so drop all of your other totems first, use your trinket and elemental mastery, then quickly drop 5 elemental totems and go to town.

Talon King Ikiss

  1. This guy is actually easier as a multiboxer then it is single boxing. Whenever I single box at least 1 person is too stupid to get behind a pillar but at least now you control everyone so getting behind a pillar when he blinks and casts his arcane explosion should be easy... right?
  2. First thing when you get into the room is pick either the left or right pillar closest to you, and start the fight next to it. That way when he blinks you're already close to a pillar so you can move around it. Don't get TOO close or when you move around it your clones will get caught on the various torches and things around it.
  3. I dropped 5 fire elementals for this fight, but he was killing them fairly quick and they didn't seem to help much, so its up to you whether to drop them or not
  4. Keep 5 grounding totems dropped ALL the time. Every time he blinks, as hes casting arcane explosion, drop 5 more. He will start using arcane missiles afterwards that hurt. Once he gets close to you he melees which hits like a baby.
  5. Basically the entire fight is you spamming lightning bolt, then he blinks, you move around the pillar, heal if needed, drop groundings, spam lightning bolt some more, repeat until hes dead. On my first try none of my guys got hit by his AE and none of them went below 60% health - was pretty easy actually.
  6. Don't forget to grab your shadow labs key! (which is the whole reason I ran the instance in the first place, although the 48k xp from the 2 quests was nice also).

Talon King Ikiss (With a paladin, two mages, warlock, and priest)

  1. This fight is all about execution. The best thing you can do is have your follow macro not target your main, or always have your slaves target the boss.
  2. The paladin was delegated to tanking and removing polly morph. As a result of the polymorph you need to have your toons refollow.
  3. Have your whole team stand right up against the pillar and bring Ikiss to you. This makes it easy to run around the pillar when Ikiss teleports and begins to cast his AoE. This is VERY important to get out of the way, otherwise you'll wipe
  4. Your priest can spam Circle of Healing and Prayer of Healing if you're specced for it.
  5. Aggro on Ikiss is squirrely so be ready with your taunts and Conescrations
  6. That's basically it, dispell polymorphs, keep your guys on follow, spam group heals, move around the pillar, and DPS.
