    Default rhetorical gripe

Why is it acceptable for a level 89 to corpse camp a level 80 on the opposite faction, but the moment a multiboxing team takes out a player of the same level, you get hundreds of posts bitching about it on the wow forums?

Why do people when facing a 5 man premade say "well damn its a premade, guess we're going to lose" and get over it by the next match, but when its a multiboxer they face they must go and whine about how its an unfair advantage? Like a typical premade isnt any more devastating then a multiboxer.

In the end you'll never win so just keep on chugging along and ignore the hate.

Because they are losers? I am sure they would be the same if you came out on top kill them and 9 of their guildies.

They are truly *personally offended* that you killed them.

With most of these asshats that qq publically, somehow all the time they have in the game, all the /played, that they have nothing to show for it ... all the time spent LFG (when you could just walk into a dungeon without a queue, learn it, beat it) and wanting gold ... all the Ashes they don't have (because they didnt farm it, or had to share the rng), all the ninja looting they taken on, stuff costing too much in the AH, the loss rolls, the healer that wouldnt heal them in the bg, the lack of a tank in av, them loosing an av, etc ... they blame you. And their loser friends agree with them.

I agree, they are trolls ... move on.

It's a fairly common and adolescent response to something when one is not good at. Not good at sports? Mock it. Can't sing? Mock it. Fail at Math? Mock it. Don't have the ingenuity to multi-box. Mock it.

When one person has too much power, like a multiboxer, their attention is focused on that one person so their hate is intensified, but when it's a group of people their hate gets subconsciously divided by the number of people. It's like rich people, if you can identify one single rich person who has too much power over other people you will hate them harder than when it's a group of moderately rich people working together.

Or another analogy, if a gang of people beat you up and steal your wallet, you'll be like whatever, you had no chance. But imagine you and your friends get beat up by just one guy who's very powerful for some reason, then you will hate him a lot harder. Because it feels "unfair" that one person can have so much power over you.

I think deep down in our subconscious we (the humankind) are all a bunch of socialist communists who feel that everything should be split evenly between people no matter who deserves what. Otherwise I can't explain why we dislike people who have more power or more money than us and we keep finding excuses to justify their superiority over us. Like "multiboxers are sore losers who live in their mom's basements since they can afford to pay for so many accounts" and so on.

The best you can do, if you see someone whine a lot on the forums, go apologize genuinely and tell them that it's not personal. Also if you can say that you are a sore loser who needs to multibox to feel better about yourself, without making it look like sarcasm, they will feel better about themselves and go away.

Frustration. If it's a single player doing it, they'll probably log an alt to gripe to that person directly. When they see a blob of characters firing five spells or abilities at the same time, the frustration is multiplied by however unfair they happen to think it is. Whining to you directly is no longer sufficient, they must make their pain known to the world.
