Hyperthreading used to be useless (or worse) for gaming, but that is no longer the case with current Intel CPUs. It now helps quite a bit if you have enough threads to push it, like boxing.
Just make sure you're getting an i7 with a 4 digit number (2600K for example), not a 3 digit number (960 for example).
The 4 digits ones are new, while the 3 digit ones are older and much slower.

Yah well i got the cpu mb new caset etc..
the case came damaged none of the front usb work they are bent.
the motherboard has a loose pci express slot and the cpu fan port is bad.
so im getting a refund on them
i put the cpu in my mb i got now along with the 16 gigs of ram
but i will still be building another system
