    I don't know anything about the Nikon line up, when I was hunting for my newest DSLR I was only considering 7D, 60D and 5D Mark II - all Canon.

    It is my hobby too, just I have a constant crave for more more image quality more magnification! Only looking at the price of those Nikon's makes me think they are more than adequate, my Alpha 580 @ £550 was probably more than adequate for a lot of people.
