    Default Thinking about mobo upgrade

Really want a new mobo with USB 3.0 and Sata III... Anyone have any recommended/favorite companies in this regard? Have mostly been looking at Asus and EVGA.

Looking for one with 6x DIMM slots and a LGA 1366 slot. Feedback and comments are greatly appreciated!

Was looking into the Rampage III from Asus, I've heard mixed reviews about their Sabertooth boards.

If I were going to get a new system today, I would get a 1155 Sandy Bridge mobo w/ a 2500k CPU. Great bang for your buck. Asus makes one of the best ones per Maximum PC tests
RAF Tour Guide files are obsolete, I went to Zygor

Hehe, I would get a sandy bridge chip but I already bought a 980x months ago. Kinda jumped the boat a lil to soon instead of waiting.

If you have the 980x get the Rampage III - no contest really.

you can overclock to 4.2ghz just by selecting one option in the bios

I'd suggest the EVGA SLI3 series X58 boards from personal experience. Also, if you have to call them, you'll get someone that isn't in India and isn't reading from a cue card to help you.

I pretty much decided on that one last night. I heard that the BIOS is pretty sweet, maybe close to borderline overcomplicated though. I'm going to go buy it at the local Fry's Electronics though instead of Newegg, just because it would be an easier return if I did happen to pick up a defective mobo.
Thanks for all the feedback from everyone in the community here! You've all made this dream-pc building experience more fun than most of the games I'll be playing on it! Next piece I've got my heart set on: OCZ's vertex 3 SSD.

Going with the Asus Rampage III Extreme. I'm hoping not to get a dud mobo, but if I do, Fry's has an awesome return policy. I've already tested all my stuff and know it works, so should figure out within about an hour of buying it if it is junk or not. Have a friend that lives next door to me that has the mobo and has had no issues with it at all, hoping for the same luck.
And yes, Ugh.... I've heard hardly anything good about the Sabertooth mobos, lots of complaints.
