[target=focustarget] issues / healing setup

for some reason, if i try and use this to cast my heals it often wont register if i do it too quickly on my other screens, so if i quickly swap targets it often targets last target to heal, is there anyway to overcome this?

on another note what are everyones most effecient shaman healing setups, chain heal spams? /cast [target=self] chain heal ? I saw a pretty nasty healing rotation the other night here but i cant find it anymore if anyone has a link pst

mine look like this. only lvl 33 so I dont have chain heal yet but even if I did Id keep these macros and do a chainheal F1 to self cast on all 5 I think.

*edit* and before i got lesser healing wave I would downrank the big healing wave, usually by 2-3 ranks to get the faster casting time ones (and I didnt have all that much hp)

*edit* i accidentaly left out #showtooltip when i rewrote my macros a while back. its not required but makes things look nice so ill be adding it back in soon.

I use this for my pally:

/assist focus

Focus is my main, Pally will attempt to heal my mains target or heal my mains target/target.

Whats the macro your using for healing? Maybe it has something to do with the way that your aquiring the target.

I use:

on my shamans, it heals the member being beat on by the focustargets target. Also if you're targetting a party member, everyone heals that member, and if nobody is targetted then they heal themselves. I have yet to have any problems with this macro.

The game is subject to latency, and yes, if you switch too quickly and try to heal, it might not work out the way you expect it. This is because when you switch targets on your Main, the Main's client sends this info to the servers, where it is sent back to your Alts. If you click your multiplexed keyboard macro in between this time, your Alt will not see that your Main has changed targets.

If you are in PvE, learn to make decisions ahead of time, and select the target to be healed earlier (Like while another spell is being cast).

In PvP, you will just have to suck it up and learn the wait a second before spamming your heal macro. Or if you are a shaman, just have Chain Heal targetting yourself for each character.

Or turn your entire Number Pad into a Healing pad of some sort.

If your Alts' macros rely on your Main picking the target, there is no way to flawlessly circumvent your problem, **to my knowledge**.

I like this setup i think ill give it a crack.

Currently im using a basic :
/cast [target=focustarget] Healing Wave
which comes from all 4 shamans downranking there HW. Later on ill change it to 2 LHW and 2 HW all downranked.
I think this way even subject to latency i may not have the problems im having now.
