Default Using Multiple computers using octopus

I open octopus on my main computer and in the guide in the wiki it says I should just see localhost and my other computer listed aswell. I don`t. All I see is local host one.

I`m trying to get it to have two Wow`s running on each computer. Any help would be great. Thanks

    Which tutorial?

We'd love to help, but I doubt anyone's going to play 20 questions with you. Tell me exactly which tutorial you're talking about, what steps you've done already and which step isn't showing you what you're talking about. A screenshot of your screen uploaded to photobucket or something would also be a big help.

does anyone know what to do? I just can't seem to get the computers to communicate with eachother. The tutorials say nothing about how to get both computers connected as far as I can see.

I think it has to do with me not being able to get the client to connect with the server? Im not sure what to do because I have never had to multibox between two computers.

OK, the client isn't connecting. In fact, the server isn't even seeing the client TRY to connect. I assume you've been through steps 21-28 in the General Broadcast Configuration section?

im on steps 21 to 26.
    1. The “Status” tab should be selected, if not, select it.
    2. In the “Client” section, type in the network name of your main machine. In my case, it's named “play”
    3. Then click the “Connect” button.

but after i hit connect it says failed to connect with "my other computers networks name" : 7612

the probable cause would be a firewall...
you should check you can ping the server from the client as well...
