Default Raid DPS since the Sept 23rd nerf/buff

    Here are general DPS log
    https://www.warcraftlogs.com/statist...e=7&dataset=50

    Here is low movement fight

I think overall the DPS is much closer to each other. Its beginning to look like we can just play what we have fun with.

So for the first link you use the median on mythic, and for the 2nd you use the 95th percentile on normal ... that doesn't make much sense to me. Anyway, there seems to be a consensus among the people who analyze class balance that the 75th percentile is usually the best metric since it weeds out bad players and bad rng, and at the same time it weeds out good rng and meter padding.

Then again, these rankings make e.g. Affliction Warlock look like it's among the best raid specs in the game, while in fact it's one of the worst at the moment. There are only 91 parses factored in vs. for example 6k fire mages on the total mythic rankings you linked.

Affliction is bottom on nythendra with 59 parses.
Affliction has zero parses on Illgynoth.
Affliction is bottom on Elerethe with 31 parses.
Affliction has zero parses on Ursoc.
Affliction is top on Dragons with 1 parse.

So ... 1 dude who played affliction on dragons made affliction the 2nd best spec according to that list that you linked. 1 dude playing 1 toon btw

About 200 guilds have killed 4 or more bosses on Mythic as we speak.
About 400 guilds have killed 3 or more bosses on Mythic as we speak.
About 900 guilds have killed 2 or more bosses on Mythic as we speak.

    My point:
For the first 2 and possibly 3 bosses you can use Mythic parses as the sample size seems big enough.
For boss 4-7 the sample size is way too small to draw any conclusions (see the affliction example). So imo you need to use the heroic parses for those.
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!
