    Default Thinking about playing again

I have not seriously multi-boxed since MoP 2012. I did some single boxing in Warlords during the first month, but haven't played at all in at least 2 years.

With Legion, was thinking about playing again. So the question becomes, should I multi-box or not? Last time I multi-boxed, they had broken /follow in battlegrounds. Is it worth boxing anymore and if so, in what context? I assume battlegrounds, even AV is a non-go?

In MoP, I ran a 10-man group. This time, probably just do 5-man unless there is a compelling reason to do more.

Whether or not the game is worth playing (or boxing) for you is not something anyone except you can answer. It's impossible to state if you will enjoy it and to what degree.

BGs are pretty much unplayable if you ask me. Sure, you can still do them to some extent with multi-seat mounts but with the removal of battle pet based sudo-follows, they're very uncomfortable to do and simply do not work in all environments. Because of this people have, for the most part, moved to either doing arenas for the few that are capable of competing on their own, or to WPVP for a fix of casual PVP content.

On the PVE side things are looking fine. 5-man content has been gaining a bit of a push, LFR is a easy enough to be ran with fairly little knowledge of the actual fights (atleast as DPS and maybe healer), and even quest / world content is being pushed a bit, giving better rewards.

I guess I'm after "The General State of Multi-boxing" in WoW for this expansion. Or layout of the land so to speak.

Are demon hunters boxable? DKs still viable? 5-mans easy?
Any big changes that impacts boxing that I should know about that has happened in the last ~2 years?

The expansion was just released ~48 hours ago, so I doubt anyone has a solid answer.

A few people have been playing them while leveling.

Viable in what area of the game? (My first reply probably covers this question at the moment, though.)

None that I can think of, but then again, I don't keep a list.

I don't mean to sound like a sarcastic dick in this reply, but these are very general questions, and whenever people coming back to the game ask about what's changed in the past X amount of years, there just isn't an answer for that. Nobody keeps that information lying around in a spreadsheet to access at any given moment, but even if we did, we don't know what information is relevant to you, what you remember about the game, what your playstyle is, which classes you prefer, or what you even enjoyed about the game in general when you still played.

To maybe answer your first question a bit better, the general state of multiboxing is that there are still a lot of people multiboxing World of Warcraft for their own reasons--whether that's because they enjoy the challenge, or they enjoy tinkering with the setup, or they enjoy making gold, or even something along the lines of helping others fill spots in dungeons or raids, etc.

However, when someone is thinking about returning to the game, I would suggest that they just re-sub to it to play a character solo for a week or two to see if you enjoy the current state of it, and to get a feel for things that may have changed. I mean... Isn't that how people began multiboxing in the first place? You played a game that you enjoyed solo, and then you thought you'd add to that by controlling an entire team of characters. If you don't enjoy the game when playing solo, then I would assume that you're not going to enjoy it while multiboxing.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.
Ask your questions on the forum where others can also benefit from the information.

Everything is viable, for certain tasks to which they are suited. The faceroll factor has decreased but nobody has enough gear to tell where things will end up once everyone has had a few months to min/max things.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)
