The old thread title was clickbait-y and led to another site with no context of subject, so I've altered it to give people a heads up of what the subject of the thread really is without having to visit an external site.

On topic: I imagine this is good for multiboxers, but not so nice for those who actually complete the raids on a harder difficulty expecting some sort of unique reward.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

Agreed. One of the original reason the sets were removed from LFR, from what I recall anyways, was that they were too easy to acquire in LFR, increasing the output capability of a raid too early in to the tier.

As a boxer: Cool, I don't mind being able to get them fairly easily.

People just don't care to run the harder versions of the raid if they got what they needed from LFR which enhanced the lack of content argument.

The real problem is that most of us don't want to raid. You can make an MMO that doesn't focus on coordination between 20 people. Smaller numbers means less hassle even though it's an MMO. The direction of most raid encounters utilizes 20 individual players in coordination with one another versus 4 smaller parties coordinating as parties throughout an encounter.

To me the latter makes more sense but there are few instances of this type of raid in WoW. What the WoW team doesn't seem to understand is that it is a real drag having to coordinate with 19 other people on the hardest content in the game. People not showing up, being burnt out to arguments on strategy, emotions getting in the way of a good time all add up to a very unpleasing experience raiding. It feels less like fun and more like a job.

So naturally we don't want to do it.

I used to run my own raid guild in Wrath - the most fun and stressful times.. it just became too much for me with having a family to take care of, but lfr is perfect for me because I can drop in and out without messing anyone around. I'm fine with the item level being lower than higher raid difficulties, and besides we will be able to acquire mythic items from questing soon enough.. sure they will be group quests but still.

I'm happy to take something rather than nothing at all - tourist mode suits me.

as pvp is more of less gone in legion and pve gear will be needed for everything in the outdoor world! worldpvp then am up for this and will be one of the few xpacs ill be skiping doing arana at a low MMR to get conquest gear that was a little better then lfr gear. so all i had to do was the 10 games a week the problems was i had a have a team that could run arana, that am hoping i can care a little less of a team and play a group i wanna for once.

This was an issue I had as well this expansion. I've started to much prefer mixed groups with variety (many shiny buttons, yay!), but I found it tremendously more difficult to get wins in arena, even at ridiculously low tanked MMR as a mixed group rather than as just 2x, 3x or 5x boomkin/dk). This got to the point where it was simply not worth it, especially with the current tier of conquest gear only being a 10 ilvl increase over honor gear.

Since PVE gear will be what matters now (as I doubt high-end instanced PVP will be any more doable than it is now), I'm fine doing quests, LFR, dungeons or even some normal mode attempts for my gear. Or who knows... Maybe I'll farm gold and just join mythic boost groups for gear. We'll see what is doable.

from what i can tell honor gear (RNG BULL) is 780 to around 800 (with world pvp quests giving around a sit item and 800 ilvl )

to get the mythic gear or around that ilvl from pvp, you will need to do ratted game play but the gear will be coming from from your rating (a like wotlk/bc) when 2200+ was needed to get gear. this is just going to not be worth it in my eyes.

or though Bg's drop a token that is BoA and u can use to buy old pvp gear for tmog it seems the current conquest gear will come from this BoA token, so it might be good for the pepatch to get a little last bit of gear.
