Default "Windows Hardware Remove.wav" plays when launching a character

Putting this in OT for now as it might be me being a tard.

When I launch IS or a game client, I hear the windows hardware removal sound in my Win10 Pro machine. Never did this in Win7. It's not the in-game macros that I can tell as I've changed the 4 spots where I play sounds (ActivateMaps and ToggleBroadcast keys) to other sounds, and the sound that's playing is nowhere in my profile xml file. It's not like it's a break-down-and-cry type of problem but it's one of those things I cannot explain -- I don't like not being able to explain things that happen on my PC.

    Anyway, WTB: one clue.

[edit] Doesn't do it when launching from the wow.exe, launcher, or battle.net app.

You could try deleting/renaming the InputDevices.xml file in the Inner Space folder. It might have a dodgy reference causing it to do something weird.

Just an out there thing to try.
