Thread: Addon Question

  1. #1

    Default Addon Question

Am I allowed to use Gnomesequencer?

It's an addon, and some people would argue it does automation, others tell me it's an addon, and theirfor allowed. If something is wrong, blizzard will simply remove it.

What should I trust? Do any of you guys have some insight for me

In the case it is illegal, then go ahead and remove this post, I do not intend to violate the terms of the forum.
And if the thread is gone, I understand the reason behind

Add-ons cannot be against the rules of the game since they run in Blizzard's own sandbox environment. If Blizzard doesn't like the way an add-on functions, then they will break or alter certain functions that the add-on relies on.
Do not send me a PM if what you want to talk about isn't absolutely private.

There's whole sections of wowlazymacros that are dedicated to GnomeSequencer setups. As MiRai said, addons are not illegal since Blizzard can hotfix and break them almost immediately.

Conversely, if Blizzard does break GnomeSequencer, it's gonna kill raid progression for a week or two until people learn how to play again.

I like to make all my own macros within wow.. I have no need for it. Plus I'm not a fan of it.
