Default HW for WoW 10boxing - raiding possibility - low budget

    Hey,

sorry to say, but I am just starting with boxing..why 10 then? well, good question, but I would like to do raids (someday, not necessary immediately).
I have an old quad Q9550 proc machine with 16gb ram, which needs another GPU and power supply (and cleaning off the dust as well)
Would it worth getting a nice graphics card or should I just invest in a whole new comp? (well, budget would be pretty tight, totally maxing 800-1000 EUR - for this maybe can get a 1-2 generation older used pc from internet)
I would run then in "small" 800*600, low fps (moderately low ofc). I play my normal game on my office laptop and all video settings are taken to lowest, I got used to it already )
Can you recommend either a good graphics card or a budget cpu/gpu ? (RAM is no problem, I get some from my work )
    thanks,

The only way you're going to know if you can run 10 accounts on an old Q9550 is to fire up 10 trial accounts and walk around in, preferably, the human starting area and Stormwind -- This is going to require two throwaway BNet accounts. My guess is going to be that you won't like the performance, but I really don't know how little WoW takes when it's at it's lowest resolution and settings.

1,000 EUR might be cutting it close for a new multiboxing machine depending on what you'd need/want, but here's a very quick part list for something you'd be looking for.

I hit the budget limit before putting in a case, PSU, or OS, but again, I don't know what you're going to need.

Can't you only have 1 trial account per bnet?

Also you might want to consider just using two machines.

I'd be pretty surprised if you could get a worthwhile 10-box capable unit for <$1500. Unless it's used.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

Technically, I guess you're right, but you can send several RaF invites to the same BNet which will then all be converted to trials upon you not subscribing.
