New Quadros have been spotted, which may end up being the specs for the new next-gen Titan-esque GPU.

    It's close...

It looks to be a huge chip (estimating ~600mm²) which (people are hoping) will be able to deliver some major power. Time to lock down the spending and begin saving for at least two of these bad boys.

Wow...haven't heard the "Quadro" product name in a decade. Used to test Quadro multi-headed "octopus" cards on workstations back in the day. 6 monitors? Yes, please.

Apparently nVidia will be revealing the new stuff at the end of March:

Well, nVidia has announced its existence (Titan X).

EDIT: All we know at the moment, for certain, is that it comes with 12GB of VRAM.

There was a rumor floating around that they were going to be $1350, which I can only hope is not true. That'd be a lot of money for just a single GPU, and I'd need at least two. Since I'm out of kidneys to sell, I would have to begin selling other body parts instead, so this had better be worth it if it comes to that.

There was some speculation in the Anandtech comments:
I'll also note this: this will be a 24-SMM design, with all SMMs on the die enabled, as 7.8B is around the upper limit of what TSMC can put on a single die right now at 28nm.

This means there won't be a new version of this chip like there was with the original Titan and Titan Black.
If that's true, then it might be why nVidia would be charging so much because it's likely that this GPU could reign for awhile. Word on the internet is that 20nm doesn't look to be happening for nVidia in the realm of dedicated GPUs, so they'd be moving to 16nm for the next series which won't be until next year. That doesn't mean that we won't see something like a 980Ti later this year, but it might just be a way for nVidia to release a "second tier" 980 while allowing the Titan X to stay on top.

This is all wishful thinking and I'm trying to convince myself of the price tag.

$1350 is more than I paid for my entire system when I upgraded last.

Is the 980 TI projected to have more than 4GB, 6 or 8 perhaps? Must have larger frame buffer!!!
