Thread: Syncing UI's

  1. #1

    Default Syncing UI's

Appologies if I missed this somewhere, but what is the easiest way to synch window layout between characters? Can't find any "size by parameters" way in EVE... Can I copy some files?

Sorry for ressurecting this old thread, but in the isboxer instructions - I can't find the SETTINGS files referred to - Searched everywhere... Also, Garpa don't seem to pick up the isboxer settings - only when I have logged on "normally" - Probably related to the fact that I haven't done the copy step... but can't find them files

well if you log in through the launcher then there wont be any of those files, they only appear if you launch without the launcher, like if you set up a character set and open that instead of opening clients first then applying the set.

But shouldnt ISBoxer have made that happen? It doesnt use the launcher?

well i launch my launcher through innerspace and then log each account in through the launcher and this way i dont get all the extra settings folders but just the 1. not sure if they only show up when launching a character set ( not pre logging ) but they do when i do it. oh also in case this is what you mean then the settings folders are under appdata which is a hidden folder, google "how to find appdata".

I brieftly covered this in my guide, and its covered here. You may have to open the virtual file wizard in the ISboxer toolkit and tell it to manage those files for Eve Online(Settings and Cookies) then the folders for each character wil bel at C:\Users\YOURPCUSERNAME\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\h_eve_tranquility
You may need to login into your characters mess with their UI then logoff and exit to get the folders to show up.

You'll then open up Note pad and follow the instructions here. You'll then save it as a .bat file. From then on its pretty easy to copy settings in the future

Edit: If you haven't already AppData folder is hidden by default you'll have to click on Organize>Folder and Search Options>Show Hidden Files and Folders
