Thread: 4790k vs 4820k?

    Default 4790k vs 4820k?

    4790 vs 4820k?

    Comparisions
    NewEgg
    Intel

The CPU is both very similar in price. What is better for 5 boxing? How significant is the difference between a bigger CPU memory cache and supporting a better memory system.
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it"

The i7 4790 is the newest, and fastest, quad-core Intel has to offer.

I doubt a bigger cache would give a noticeable difference when playing a game, and how much memory you need is only something you can answer yourself. Do you need more than 32GB of RAM? Do you expect to be running more than two GPUs (or other devices which take up PCIe slots)?
