Final Fantasy XIV is due to release Update 2.3 in the near future, which will include a multitude of new content to engage your multiboxing team. One of the new features to look forward to in this update is the Frontline, where your team can participate in battles to claim territory for your Grand Company in the Carteneau Flats.

The Frontline is a brand new PVP challenge in which three teams of players compete against each other. Each team represents one of the three Grand Companies and will consist of up to 24 players in an alliance. There could be a grand total of 72 players in a single battle!

Each team on the Frontline will be in charge of defending their Grand Company's outpost while also conquering locations of interest, defeating players of opposing teams, and destroying enemies that spawn on the battlefield. Players that enter Frontline battles can receive reward points for completing those objectives.

If one of your players is incapacitated on the Frontline, they will be returned to their Grand Company's landing and must wait for a certain time period before they are allowed to rejoin combat. The delay that they are required to wait will increase each time they fall.

When the match is over, each team will receive PVP experience points and Wolf Marks, based on their performance. As you accumulate PVP experience, you will rise up in PVP rank and earn action points, which can be used to enhance special PVP actions and traits. The Wolf Marks can be traded for gear and battle items at the Wolves' Den. All players in the match will also get Allagan tomestones of mythology and Allagan tomestones of soldiery for participating.

After being victorious on the Frontline battlefield a certain number of times, members of your multiboxing team can receive an achievement and the new warsteed mount as a reward.
