    Default Inner Space won´t run

Hi! Just got a trial for Inner Space but it won´t run. I get "Inner Space could not initialize d3dx9_37.dll, error code:193" . When I try to reinstall I get a notification that this program is either not compatible with this windows version or files are damaged. I run Win7 64-bit .
Any ideas how to fix it?

Nvm, seems its the 64-bit part thats the problem. Seems only way is to run it is through "Virtual PC". think I have to skip ISboxer since I can´t be bothered doing that.

64-bit is not a problem, nearly everyone runs Windows 7 64-bit or Windows 8 64-bit or Windows 8.1 64-bit. I use Windows 7 64-bit myself. I can't even count how many EVE players use ISBoxer on Windows 7 64-bit. In fact, 64-bit isn't even relevant unless you're running a 64-bit program, and you're running a 32-bit program (EVE is 32-bit as well).

The problem is more likely to be your DirectX 9 install, which is what d3dx9_37.dll is from. Windows System Error Code 193 says
    ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT
    193 (0xC1)
    %1 is not a valid Win32 application.

    -- where "%1" is d3dx9_37.dll. So it's saying that d3dx9_37.dll is bad.

Here's what I suggest doing: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=35 This is the DirectX updater. Run it and it should replace the broken DLL file.

In addition to what Commander Lax provided, this error could also be the result of GPU driver problems, so if the above doesn't work make sure you have the most up to date drivers, and consider and clean install of the video drivers.
