Same thing happened to me a few months back. Except it wasn't the HD that fried, but a SATA port apparently. I don't know if that's even possible, but switching the HD to another port fixed things :p
Have avoided doing /reload on all accounts at the same time since then, because that's when stuff went boom.

Cheers fixed everything. Just downloading WoW again now. Usally takes me a few weeks to get all my drivers again. I always forget a few :P

I had to download motherboard drivers on my phone and USB cable them to get on the net to get all the other drivers. That was an effort.

I wanted to reformat anyway. The only real annoying part is loosing 500gig of movies/tv/mma and the last week of dozens and dozens of hours of learning isboxer. But silver lining I can polish my ISboxer setup this time . Oh and quotes I have been saving for a long time but I remember most. One for every occasion.

EDIT: Although I would not mind some insight into what happened, I was running 5 wows, itunes, VLC and fraps. with only around 20mb spare on my HD. Everything closed only thing I could access is notepad. A tool called "File Recovery" popped up but said it was going to repair my HD but my win7 did not have authentication for this program and wanted my CC info(Internet was unplugged already and I have a retail version of win7). I did not trust that and thought it might be a virus so I reformatted.

So my question is. Virus? or To many programs and not enough HD space to save the temp files made it die?

We just lost about 3-4TB of music, movies, shows and comics when all of my husband's drives got nuked at once. I know your pain.
