    Default Frost DK DPS macro

Hey guys I am doing LFR on all five of my toons at the same time now and I want to drive from my healer. This means turning my Blood DK to frost so that I can be lazy.

The underlying problem is after several unsuccessful attempts I have not found a good Frost DK dps macro.

Would someone who knows where it is or has one of their own link it here. I would be very grateful

If you're using IS Boxer, I'd recommend the pseudo-priority system.
Essentially mash a bunch of keys together constantly, with each press of your '1' key.

    Mine is...
    On Press: Howling Blast
On Release: Howling Blast, Frost Strike, Frost Strike, Necrotic Strike, Death Coil.

    See: http://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/3...n-DK-Manifesto
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I read your post but it seems like that is really only good if you have say 4-5 DK's. I have one DK that is part of my team. I am looking for a generic Castsequence macro that will allow him to do more than his pathetic 9k dps. I currently use

    step 1
/castsequence Howling Blast, Howling Blast, Frost Strike, Plague Strike

I am not at home so I am sure there is something else in this macro as a fall through that I am not thinking of right now.

    step 2
    Obliterate

I am looking for something simple that I can macro and just let him IWT on a mob till we kill it.

As a Frost DK, you have:
    - 2x Frost Runes
    - 2x Unholy Runes
    - 2x Death Runes (which count as all three)

Outside of PvP, Plague Strike is going to be superior to Necrotic Strike.
But Howling Blast will be superior to anything.

And you'll want to spend your Runic Power, as you acquire it.
Frost Strike is definitely way higher damage than Death Coil; but the sole advantage of DC is that you don't have to be in melee range to use it.

Howling Blast > Frost Strike > Plague Strike.

Not sure how this would work out... but something like:

    Macro 1
    #show
    <Insert Assist>
    /castsequence Howling Blast, Howling Blast
    /cast Frost Strike

    Macro 2
    #show
    <Insert Assist>
    /castsequence Plague Strike, Plague Strike
    /cast Howling Blast
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

In PVE there is a very specific frost build including rotation where you prioritize HB over obliterate called 'master frost', and in heroic raid gear that gives the best dps. However it's rather 'hard' to play compared to the normal rotation where you absolutely should prioritize obliterate and only use howling blast when rime procs.

If you want to Obliterate, as the main thing...
    #show Howling Blast
    /castsequence Obliterate, Obliterate
    /cast Frost Strike

Then have Howling Blast, on another keybind...
Possibly use a video feed, to watch the button for the macro.
And whenever the HB key lights up, because of the Rime Proc, push your alternate keybind for the HB.

Or modify the above macro for mod/no-mod:
    #show Howling Blast
    /castsequence [nomod] Obliterate, Obliterate
    /cast [mod] Howling Blast
    /cast Frost Strike

    Obliterate = 1x Frost, 1x Unholy runes.
And we have 2x Frost, 2x Unholy, and 2x Death (Whatever works best).

Or if you want the least management...
Just ignore the HB portion, and go with a straight Obliterate.
Possibly two DPS keys, Obliterate = single targets and Howling Blast = AoE/Packs/Swarms...
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

Thats more to what I was looking for thanks. I can micro magage the Rime proc easily with jamba. It shows me when i get procs ie hunter explosive shot, lock free SF etc. I usually spend more time looking at the smaller slave windows to make sure they are standing in the right place than I spend looking at my priest who just spams either smite or Prayer of Healing in raids.
