    Smile Monitor Setup (opinions)

I'm looking into buying 2 new monitors for my setup. Going to drive from one and have the other 4 accounts sharing the other monitor. Was thinking 21.5" widescreens would be roomy enough, and won't lighten my wallet too much.
I'm getting a evga gtx 580 for Xmas, so should push monitors just fine.

Was just wondering what you ladies and gents are using for display setups when pvping or running heroics.

    Cheers!

Lol, wow... That's quite a view I imagine! I'm having a tough time deciding what's too much and overwhelms my desk, and what's too small and makes me squint while playing. Saw a nice 21.5 Samsung and a LG the same size for 170-180 dollar range. Decisions, decisions...

Watch out, if your Fermi card(s) [nVidia] is/are running multiple monitors at different resolutions, the card itself may be running at full load 24-7.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm planning on having two of the same model of monitors and buy em both at the same time. The main factors I'm weighing are they have to be 1920x1080 resolution, and 2ms or less response time. Pricing for each being under $200 is also a big plus.
Guess nvidia still has lots of work to do in the display drivers department. What is your screen setup like, Fenril?

This is a picture of my old setup from about 15 months ago [3x 23" // 1x 22" (top)]. I'm in the middle of moving from Chicago
to Tennessee and currently in a 'temp' living quarters which brings me down to 1 monitor. I'm also putting together a new
system as well and in TN that 22" is going away for another identical 23". I'm going to keep those vertical monitors where
they are but mount the horizontal ones on top of each other to put them in a rectangle shape on my desk; looking up at that
22" on my old setup eventually began to bother my neck.

I would recommend monitors that have a native resolution of 1920x1080 in case you play WoW in full screen mode solo and
want to record with FRAPS, makes video editing and converting between 1080p and 720p all that much easier (just my
opinion). I'm sure 1900x1200 is a nice resolution as well, you lose a little bit of the horizontal space and gain some vertical
space, not a huge difference between the 2 choices I'm sure.

That looks pretty fraking sweet, but definitely agree that in the long run that top monitor would be a pain and annoyance in the long run. I bet its nice to feel that immersed, but going from a 19" crt that is finally showing its age... Having two 21.5s or two 23s is an amazing change in my eyes. Figured its time to join everyone here in 2010 (albeit almost over now, lol).

Two 1920x1200 monitors 1+2x2 for 5toons or 1 or 2+3x3 for ten, depending if I want the off tank on the main screen closer to home.

Starting with just a 5 man team setup is gonna be hectic enough for someone like me just stepping into the world of multiboxing. I'm pretty sure I'd pop a blood vessel or foam at the mouth trying to keep track of 10. Still though, I bet it looks badass seeing a 3x3 split screen while playing.
