    Default Efficient Horde leveling sequence

I started some new horde teams a couple days ago. My trial restriction is finally off yesterday, I logged in at 20, logged out at a dismal 24 and 4 hours of playing!!

I have Alliance side down to a science, but am soooo burned out on alliance. The last horde team I leveled were my hunters, but I wasn't using RAF so I instance grinded all the way to 42. From 42-60 I'm fine, I know exactly where to go (mostly because that is the funnest part of the 0-60 process :) )

So, can someone post a very quick blurb of what zones to go to at what levels (keep RAF in mind) up until 40? I have 2 other horde groups to level after this one...

I had a horribly inefficient sequence, I remember running and running forever in stonetalon mountains, then going to silverpine, then back to stonetalon, then to barrens, and now I'm sorta stuck at 24 in hillsbrad, and coudln't find anything good in ashenvale.....

    like for alliance I do:

    human/dwarf starting areas till 11
    westfall/loch modan 11-16
    lakeshire 16-19
    darkshire/menthil 19-25
    hillsbrad 25-30
    etc

    Thanks.

there's nothing good in ashenvale. well actually there's about five spread all over the place.
    one to kill NE scouts.
one to attack the silverwing outpost.
one to kill a big hydra.
one to collect from chests inside furby cave.
one to escort a druid out of said furby cave.

    thats all i can remember.

    at 24 try thousand needles.
by the time you hit 30, do NOT go into shimmering flats. instead, go to hillsbrad, then arathi highlands.
by the time you're done, you'll be late 30s, so hit up Dustwallow. Brackenwall village, Jarl, Tabetha, and Mudsprocket.
then hit Tanaris, Hinterlands and searing Gorge. you should be early 50s after those three zones.
a few runs into WPL will get you past the hump to 58.

    enjoy.

Hmm, never tried it myself as I've never had RAF much less leveled another team. Just came up from the search box. :P

You could just print out that linked guide and use Questhelper to guide you. I have not used this guide.

The zone progression in the first part of that Horde guide is:
    Durotar 1-5
    Eversong Woods 5-12
    Ghostlands 12-21
    Ashenvale 21-26
    Barrens 26-28
    Stonetalon 28-29
    Ashenvale 29-30
    Thousand Needles 30-34
    STV 34-36
    Arathi Highlands 36-38
    Dustwallow Marsh 38
    Arathi Highlands 38-40

Personally, I didn't like any of the add-on quest guides that I have tried (not the guide, but the add-on part). I typically use a printed out version of whatever guide I use (most often wow-pro.com guides). I haven't come across many that are geared for multiboxing, nor any that have been updated for RAF or other "XP" changes. So, I just stick with typical guides and skip collection quests. However, this is definitely still not efficient since you spend a lot time in a single zone and eventually out level the guides and never venture into many zones. I'd imagine if you were to maximize XP gain, you would only do a few select quests in each zone and move on. I have yet to see anything beyond the linked guide that attempts to do this. However, I am sure with some research and work you could go through a decent guide and formulate a plan.

The one thing I recall is that I thought The HInterlands was a great zone to multibox in. Most other pre-Outland zones are pretty meh...

It typically took me a little over 2 days played to level my teams to 60 with RAF (with no level gifting and only PVE questing). So, definitely not the best since many claimed to do it in 1d. I managed 18 (I think?) level 60's at the end of my RAF (I had 2 accounts prior to RAF and added 3 more, so I missed out on a fourth RAF link as well). To accomplish this I leveled two teams to 60 and two teams to 31. I play very casually, about 2-3 hours a night. So, although you may feel it is taking too long to level, I'd imagine you will easily meet your goals within the RAF time period.

This probably didn't help much, but my main point was that leveling without maximum efficiency isn't really all that bad. Also, I always felt that 1-40 was really slow, likely due to how the quests are spread out all over some large zones.

Yeah I looked at the files with notepad but I was already done with 2 of the zones which were apparently supposed to be done later.

Now I'm level 32 in STV, but still kinda ahead of myself. I've already had to hit up some instances to grind out some XP. So far 1-40 Horde really sucks more than Alliance.

I checked my /played at level 32 and I'm already at 20 hours played! I'm really behind. But it might be attributed to the immense amount of running required when questing in the horrible Stonetalon mountains. Not to mention I've had to repeated about 4 different quests because I forgot to share them to my alts :cursing:

But yeah everytime I think of questing in Stonetalon..../wrists
