Another one from Alsbeth? I'm thinking about transferring my group over (partly because I want a free name change), but I'm worried about the population drop from Wolfsbane to Alsbeth.How's it been for you there so far?

Thanks. I don't move much because those effects aren't really relevant when you spec for lots of passive group healing. I'm sure I could improve DPS by sacrificing those 11 points in justicar but the passive heals have saved my ass so many times that it just makes dungeon runs a pleasure instead of work.

Defiant seems pretty populated. The Guardians are lame in every zone except Stillmore/Shimmersand -- if it wasn't for us Defiants guarding their wardstones, they'd lose every damn invasion.

Really, though, versus your med/high population WoW servers, it still feels like low population. Cap cities are pretty busy as are rifts in the level 50 zones. Everywhere else seems fairly....deserted? Deserted seems too negative -- it's not dead, but I will definitely go for a few hours at times without seeing anyone while out questing.

No no no you all, Alsbeth defiant needs more boxers, don't leave me! lol j/k... thinking of rolling 5 clerics on alsbeth guardian myself, my first team is defiant since I have several RL friends there. And defiant toons are prettier imho.... :P

This wasn't a problem for me. There are always people around on Wolfsbane. According to http://www.riftstatus.net/, Wolfsbane has around 30% more players than Alsbeth (not counting the imbalance between factions, which I'm not sure of).

Just click on the character you want to move in the selection screen and hit transfer. It will bring up a list of available servers. The servers it allows you to transfer to are always low/medium population (if you're on a populated server). You can "name change" for free by creating characters with the same name on that server before you transfer, so that your names are "taken". Then it allows you to rename your characters.

The issue is, as I said, you can only transfer to less populated realms, which is a downer.
