I logged in my accounts yesterday for this, but I'm not sure there was any indication that I got the expansion. I did forget to check my mailbox, so maybe there's a confirmation in there.

There is no notification. If you go to the part of the store where you would normally buy the expansion, the tooltip will say it is already activated.
