Nighthold Normal and LFR - doable multiboxed

Just wanted to give a heads up and make sure everyone is at least doing Looking for Raid dungeons queued up as your team, the mechanics are super scaled down and there shouldn't be any problem succeeding in these situations.
I really need to do Gul'Dan but everything else Legion has to offer been able to do without issue.

Luckily enough as well the guild I am in that Void is also in actually appreciates Multiboxers and had me tag along on all 5 characters for a nighthold normal run. Didn't have any issues on all of the fights up to Gul'Dan to which I had to log for the night.
Being a ranged class makes a lot of this smoother and I imagine the other teams should work as well to a certain degree.

So far, all of the fights in Normal and Heroic are multiboxable - the only fight I have issues with is Heroic Krosus - since it requires every player to soak a puddle at the same time.

Bringing 5 hunters.

Gul'Dan down on LFR. Not too bad on mechanics.

ohhh ill have to try some Nighthold on my team then.. we do a weekly clear of EN but... never attempted nighthold.. ill mention it to the guildies and see where we go. Thanks for the tip!

Me and Void put together a group last night for Normal NH, grabbed 1 tank, and 2 healers, and another ranged from the group finder. We 1 shot the first 3 bosses, Scorp / Chrono / Trillax.
We tried Spellblade but weren't unsure due to not having appropriate healing. We wiped at 28%, but as far as I could tell it was fine we just didn't have the healing. Tank died - not any of the hunters.
We skipped Spellblade and went to Krosus, there were more people queued in looking to join so we added some DPS to the mix. 1 shot Krosus.
Heading to Tich and everyone just started to leave without saying anything. It was extremely odd and we were baffled. I assume people weren't thrilled with boxing but we were pulling the weight and downing the bosses without issue.
We went Yolo on Tich with no tanks and a Paladin healer with ilvl 855. We got him to 25%. Was insane. Just 10 hunters and 1 Paladin.
If there is no one in melee range he doesn't spawn his Blood adds.

This team is pretty strong and a little more gear and we should be able to overpower a lot of these bosses. We're looking at trying out Heroic EN, and potentially Heroic ToV - unsure though on Odyn for difficulty.

If there was another boxer that was healing/tanking oriented, could do amazing things. Though filling that role would be super tough to deal with the mechanics. Trying to to sell solo players to join in is a bit of an uphill battle.

@Ellay I could potentially bring 5 holy pallies. I've done 5 holy's in RF and it's gamebreaking how good it is as long as I don't have to melee or tank at the same time (I wouldn't want to do prot or ret on any of them). I know all the fights on normal / heroic and I can't think of any issues we'd have. We'd have to pug a couple tanks though :(

This sounds super fun, I think 3 sets of hunters and a set of holy paladins should demolish the place potentially :) Some of the mechanics may get a little sticky but that's the fun of it!

i think that the only mechanics that are a major issue are the ones that require personal responsibility. Each boss pretty much has one but really the only game breaking mechanic for us is the burning pitch on krosus - which really isn't a huge issue until heroic+

Agreed, on normal I don't think there's any mechanic we can't just force through. Especially if you run with some brez pets. On normal the pitch spawns go down really fast. Not sure how you want to tank Krosus though... 2 pets? Willing to try I guess then pug a tank or two as needed.

Id recommend having dedicated tanks. There's a lot of boss positioning that goes on, also - I've found that in normals my pets get one shot.

I think we really need to give it a try. What Ellay and i have found is a lot of bosses act a lot different when no melee are in range of the boss. Like on tich no bloods spawn. That is huge with a couple healers hes easy. On krosus if no tanks are present maybe he wont break the bridge ;-)

Anyhow I'm up for anything just hit me up.

The pet survivability seemed fine as well. I know they were dying, but I didn't see it as an issue that anyone was pulling aggro or the boss would move towards an actual PC. I would just always spam Misdirect when it comes up.

Currently working on improving my DPS, I feel like it could be better. If we are all pumping out respectable damage this could be an amazing way to gear up :) Additionally if we find some cheese mechanics not having to use melee that could also open up heroics in the mix, lots of potential!

He'll still smash, so will need to soak at the very least.


I don't mind the idea of not using melee, but if someone wants to go as melee dps that's ok. I've got a couple people that might be interested in tanking as well.

I think I might bring my druids instead of my pallies. Just stand in the green x 5!

When are we doing this? I have raid nights on Tue and Thu already, but am available other than that.

We just had our 4th kiddo a month ago, so my playtime/sleep is shot but I still manage to get an hour or two in, with the potential of more. It's unreliable but most likely a Friday or Saturday evening would be preferable.

4th!? You should be committed. We were done (and I mean done!) at 2.

As a follow up on the Content for Nighthold, I've done all of Normal as well with a full pickup group of 25 total. The mechanics for every fight are getting easier.
For Star Augur first phase, I just stack up tightly and then just disengage any hunter who has the debuff.
For Tich, also stack up tightly and watch DBM like a hawk for when seeker swarm is about to be cast and split apart for that, then clump back up. There are too many other situations in that fight where you need to move and as a unit.
Spellblade is a bit tricky still for the cold phase. Technically just need strong healers and should be fine.
I'd like to try Heroic at some point but maybe work with EN first.

What server are you guys on? I didn't see the previous post on server =)

Ya definitely we could manage normal mode. Me and Void had Tich down pretty low and our gear has gone way up since then.

Spellblade might be a bit tough, but we can skip her.

The first 3 bosses will be very easy, Krosus will also be easy. Botanist might give us trouble. Honestly if it works we should even consider heroic.

7.2 is coming out this week though and everything is getting an ilvl boost so the difficulty for this raid will go down.
